These are some very quick doodles of how I see the characters of final fantasy VI. X3 ...I didn't really draw the last 5 party members, because... they're useless. ^^''Anywho, I am loving this game muchly. I've been wanting to draw some Sabin/Edgar for a long time, but haven't had the time. Well, someday. X3 There are so many party members...
I love Edgar.

I couldn't stand that tease at the beginning of the game where it made it seem like Locke and Terra were into each other and that all just gets forgotten about when Celes arrives.

lol, Shadow looks like he's ready to run off and abandon the sketch just like when you're trying to recruit him in the WoB. 
1. Edgar, Terra, Shadow and Relm
2. Setzer, Sabin, Celes, Locke
and then the team that I would NEVER use voluntarily: Cyan, Gau, Strago, Umaro. Mog and Gogo are my alternatives. and am I the only one who believes that Gogo is really Darryl?? think about it: Darryl's body was never found, yet Gogo conveniently appears in the same location, and her/his gender is never verified.

if you build her up properly, Gogo can be a very decent fighter. give her the other characters' fight commands and have fun with it. (in my opinion, Shadow's throw command + Gogo using throw = win/win)

I think Gogo is Cid, if you look at Cid right before he "dies" he is moving to his bed, as well as the fact that if you come back he is gone. I think he faked his death to make it so Celes would leave with the one person raft.

I find that most the party members are useful with the exeption of Strago. I wasn't a fan of him. However Umaro is a Tank, Gogo has the ability to copy moves(chainsaw+chainsaw=win), Relm has amazing magic stats, and Gau is the stupid little brother of the party (who can copy the abilities of any creature in the game and basically go beserk).

Gogo, Strago, and Relm are hardly useless. Look at Relm's magic stats--they're actually better than Celes's (if you use Espers properly, she can even be better than *Terra*). Strago's Lores are, for the most part, a waste (except for 3-4), but he's not a bad support mage. And Gogo, useless? I hope you're kidding. I admit Gogo's stats are mediocre, but Gogo copies attacks--and you can customize Gogo to make Gogo do just about everything!
Gau, yes, utterly a waste of space.

lol, to each his own, i guess. for me i judge a party member's use on acutal stats as well as how relevent/interesting their characters are - and gogo comes in not only late but almost entirely unexplained; hence, useless. in terms of story line, relm and strago are, for the most part, also irrelevent. so "nerdish moment" right back atcha.

Oh, yes, in terms of character development, ABSOLUTELY! You're right on the money. I mean, good Lord, even SHADOW has development (if you see his dreams)...although I really don't know how much Sabin has; he's kind of like a hyperactive token Monk character. But still, Relm's magical stats shocked me (but she WOULD be worthless without them).
