Look, he's so happy and beautiful; it makes me want to cry. Hooray for Kastk.Anyway. ~telekonomo is doing a comic and Kastk is being included in it (as well as Ratch)! I thought that I should draw an updated version of him on his own being I haven't done that yet and I've always intended to.
So here he is wearing the princely clothes a prince should wear. Because he's the prince of Larox and I keep forgetting that.
The clothes and royalty customs are already described here with The King and His Queen , but I guess I could put more information here.
Larek Royalty
Prince: The current prince's name is Kastk-ti-nu Monms. The prince does not hold any power in any decisions that can be made. He is more of a symbol of the King's power and has only the obligation of attending ceremonies and finding at least one mate. The majority of his time is spent picking through the women who beg to be chosen.
Attire: The prince's crown does is not as impressive as the king's, but the basic idea is the same: framed with the metal native to the planet and decorated with the feathers of slaves who are no longer useful. The rest of his clothes is very much similar to the king's as well.
Kastk: The current prince. He wishes very much to be king soon so that he can free the Verans from their enslavement. Since certain events in his childhood, he had been different from the rest of his people in his opinion of how the Verans should be treated. He would often befriend his slaves and try to make their lives as comfortable as the king would allow it. This would also lead to his changed opinion of women. He would prefer it if he could find just one mate to spend his time with, unlike most other Lareks.
He would be more of a care-free guy, as displayed in this image, if all his future responsibilities weren't weighing on his mind. He takes moments where he can forget these troubles with great pleasure.
I'm rambling.
I like Kastk. It makes me sad to think that bad things will happen to him in the future.
You have no idea how long it took me to think of a background for this thing. In the end, I just screwed around.

i saw this one in my messages and i just had to comment, it draws my eye so much, it's beautiful! i adore this style of yours, it's so eye catching and you use the curves and points so amazingly you have to look at the whole picture! and the background makes me think he's dancing near [or on] fireXD

I like using curves to create a flow. It's fun. And, aha, yeah. It probably would have been cool if there was fire to light it up also in his dancing now that I think about it. Heh.

Whoa, that's gonna be a lot of detail for a comic @_@
With the background, the texture and stuff is a lot like the style of ~Duckmuffin 's, and you both got mad vectoring skills. I still tell the difference between your styles, of course. Those are some pretty curves though, they draw my eyes everywhere!
