Chauncey is a smooth operator. He can charm and cajole and be a winning personality, but underneath all that schmooze, he's conniving and calculating, running the odds on how to get others to buy into his schemes. He runs a gambling den in the Caves, and is well known far and wide as having the best 'casino' there is. The Clones know of him, but look the other way because he knows to pay the Hive off to keep his operation running -- bribes are always welcome with the elite insects. Chauncey can be ruthless with those who fail to pay their debts, and employs all manner of monsters to squeeze what is owed out of debtors, one way or another. It is not wise to cross him.
