Description
This is a decorative Ichigo Hollow Mask from Bleach I was commissioned to make for someone.This mask is made of durable, yet lightweight plaster and painted with acrylics. It is incredibly smooth, with hand painted details and individually carved teeth. The eye holes are deeply carved and painted black so they will look the same against any color wall once hung.
I was very excited to get this commission because it was a break from the many Vega Masks I've been commissioned to make lately. Also I really wanted to make a new Ichigo Mask to replace the one I made several years ago, modeled after the single black and white drawing of the mask when it was first revealed.
This mask has the benefit of being made with several more masks under my belt, a great reference picture, and a commissioner that knew exactly what they wanted. I am very pleased with how this mask turned out, and can't wait to make a wearable version sometime in the future.

Aww, thank you so much, this mask is so old, I feel like it can't compare to the new technologies and techniques people have access to today, so I really appreciate hearing that it's holding up well to the test of time.

What kind/brand of plaster do you use? and what thickness would you suggest to keep it light but still durable?

I'm not sure what the brand name is, I only keep the inner bag of plaster and threw away the box a long time ago, but it's just regular plaster of paris you can get at any craft store. And I make my masks about 1/3 of an inch thick, they are pretty heavy, but I worry about durability more than wearability for my masks.

It is made out of 100% plaster and painted with acrylic paints.

I pour the plaster over an old halloween mask to get the basic size of a face correct, but all the other shaping and everything you see from the outside is just from hand carving/sanding.

That is the best replica I've seen. Do you still have any available for cosplay? I'm trying to put together the absolute perfect Ichigo costume in his vaizard form and this would be perfect.
