Description
(y/n) woke to a loud knocking on her bedroom door. Opening her eyes sleepily, she quickly hopped out of bed and opened the door. There stood her Dad. He smiled.
"Good Morning. I'd hurry and get changed if I were you, your friend from school is waiting out the front." (y/n)'s Dad chuckled and walked back down the stairs. She remained there, puzzled.
"I haven't made any friends at school yet…" Closing the door, (y/n) quickly got changed and looked to the door.
"I wonder who it is?" Slowly making her way down the steps, she finally came to rest her hand upon the front door's handle. Pulling it open, (y/n) was surprised to find Aomine, standing there with one hand shoved into the pocket of his white hoodie and the other holding a size six basketball. She stared at him for a moment, face blank. Aomine smiled.
"Mornin' (y/n)." He chuckled slightly.
"Um, what are you doing here?" (y/n) looked at him questioningly. Aomine shrugged.
"Well, you said you like basketball, but your not very good yet. Your ankle should be good by now, so I figured I'd come and pick you up on the way to the court and we could practice together." She could see a slight smile on his face. After (y/n) let out a loud and obvious sigh, she turned around to speak to her father.
"Dad, I'm going to the basketball court again! I can go right?" There was a raised voice that wafted from the kitchen.
"Sure! Just as long as you have your phone and your not late!" (y/n) smiled.
"Sure thing, Dad. See ya later!" After she finished her long distance conversation with her father, she walked out the front door and closed it behind her. (y/n) then looked up at Aomine. He had turned around and was making his way down the steps. She went to walk next to him.

After Aomine and (y/n) had been walking for a few minutes, they had both stopped and were waiting to cross the road. She decided to speak up and ask Aomine a few questions.
"So… Uh… Aomine?" He responded with a gruff "Mhhm?"
"What was with yesterday?" (y/n) asked, looking the other way. Aomine smirked and looked down at her.
"What was what?" She blushed a dark shade of red. Aomine knew that she would be to embarrassed to say that he had kissed her on the cheek. (y/n) puffed her cheeks out scowled at him. Aomine just laughed.
"Your face looks so funny when you do that." She just stared straight a head of her now. They crossed the road together and walked the rest of the way to the court.

Aomine began dribbling the ball once he was standing on the court. (y/n) was standing on the other side of the court and jogged to the block. The ball made loud noises as it was dribbled on the hot concrete.
"You ready?" Aomine called to her. She nodded.
"Yeah!" (y/n) replied almost instantly. Aomine picked up the ball with both hands and chest passed it straight to her. Once (y/n) had the ball, she squared up, facing the basket and shot, holding her follow through. Aomine paid close attention as the basketball swished straight into the basket. She looked up as he walked over, clapping. He stood a metre away from her and stopped his applause.
"Nice shot." Aomine congratulated her. (y/n) looked over at him.
"Thanks Aomine." He smirked and grabbed the ball off the ground. He began spinning it on the tip of his finger.
"You have nice form and a good follow through, you just need to learn to use your legs and body more, rather than just your arms," Aomine proceeded to get his body ready to jump, "like this…" He pushed his body up and sprung up high using his leg power. Now high up off the ground Aomine had the ball in his right hand and was right in front of the basket. Bringing his right hand down with force, he smashed the ball through the hoop and it proceeded to slam into the concrete ground underneath. She stood there watching Aomine, as he hung off of the hoop for a few seconds, then let go and landed on the ground with a soft thud.

"And that's how it's done." He chuckled a little when (y/n) puffed her cheeks out and stared at him again.
"I can't jump as high as you… and I'm not as strong and tall as you either! There's no way I could dunk like that." Aomine grabbed the ball and held it again.
"No, but you are strong for a girl. Let me teach you something that you can do." This time Aomine readied himself in his shooting position, outside of the key. Unlike his usual formless shooting technique, he had both hands on the ball, like a normal shooting position.

"Now watch closely, (y/n)" Just like before, he pushed himself up strongly with his legs. Once he was in the air again, (y/n) watched him as he reached the peak of his jump and shot the ball, holding his follow through. When Aomine landed, he still had his hand in the air. A few moments once his shoes had hit the ground, (y/n) quickly looked up to see the ball fall gently through the basket with a beautiful swish. Aomine looked up at her once he had the ball again.
"Now tell me what I did, (y/n)." She brought her hands to her hips as she began recalling what he had done.
"Well, you jumped up as high as you could and waiting until you were at the peak of your jump. Once you were there, you shot the ball perfectly and it went in." Aomine nodded once she was finished.
"But you forgot one thing." He looked at her to see if she had picked it up.
"Oh yeah. You held your follow through." (y/n) added. Aomine nodded.

"That's an important part. Now if you practice that shot, it will help you improve quite a bit. Good jo-" Aomine was cut off as (y/n) snatched the ball from him and began dribbling it. She poked her tongue out at him and continued to cross over when he went to steal it back. Without warning, Aomine was suddenly behind her. As (y/n) went to look, she was surprised as hands grabbed her sides and effortlessly lifted her up. She squealed once Aomine had lifted her as high as he could.
"Ah! Aomine! What are you doing?!" (y/n) questioned. Aomine smirked.
"Can you reach the hoop?" He asked her, completely ignoring her question.
"No... Not quite." Forgetting her question, she looked up and tried to reach the hoop, but was a little bit short. Puffing out her cheeks she hung there limply as Aomine held her.
"Well. Don’t just sit there, (y/n). Shoot the ball!" He laughed after encouraging her. (y/n) brought the basketball up and shot and watched it go through the hoop and bounce onto the ground. She then waited for Aomine to put her back on the ground… But he didn't.
"Uhmm.. Aomine… Can you please put me down now?" Looking down, she saw him shake his head.
"Not until you promise me." (y/n) raised an eyebrow, confused at his statement.
"Promise you what?" Aomine smirked.
"That you will come and have lunch with me today. Let me take you somewhere and…" Aomine stopped and (y/n) noticed he was blushing.
"Andd.…" She blushed as well when Aomine opened his mouth to speak again.
"Go out with me." He looked down at the ground, still holding her.
"Okay, I promise." His eyes widened slightly, before she were lowered down to the ground. Just as her feet were about to touch the court, (y/n) was pulled tightly into Aomine, his arms wrapped around her. She sat there as he hugged her, unsure of what to do and blushing. (y/n) slowly brought her arms around Aomine and hugged him back.
"I am a klutz…and it kind of hurt. But I'm glad I twisted my ankle yesterday." She whispered to him.
"Me too." Aomine smirked. They stayed like that for a while.
