Description It has been a while since I don't draw the two sisters together. You might see them separately and believe that, other than belonging to the Friendsies, they have nothing else in common.

But no... Dora and Aida are indeed sisters, and are very attached to each other for that reason; perhaps Aida more to Dora than the other way around, but still strong.

And thanks to that, they manage to balance their extremes. That's why Dora doesn't go as far as wanting to look 100% like a boy, and Aida avoids stuff like makeup, glitter, princesses, excessive pink, among certain other "girly" fare we take for granted today...

In other words they keep each other from spoiling their unique natural beauty. I've admired Dora for being free-spirited and being her own person but now I also see that she's a devoted and caring big sister. (If I understand correctly, Dora doesn't try to be like a boy but just sticks with easier clothes and hair because she's not interested in the whole fashion thing.)

Even without the glitz and fancy-shmancy stuff Aida is an adorable little princess in her own right. She had a great feminine glow about her even with just pigtails, a sun dress and, most importantly, her overall mood as she half wraps herself around her sister's arm and gives her a big loving smile. I can just about imagine the way she walks and probably gets quite animated when talking about something that makes her happy... and very emotive for the things that make her feel bad β€” which hopefully there are very few of!

It's good that they balance each other out, but even with their "opposite" tendencies they're both completely defenseless against My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Yes, Dora takes a lot of care not only to Aida, but to the other girls (though maybe she competes a bit with Shannon for the latter). Too bad there are very few girls like her in our media, considering her interests and her dressing style.

Actually, that's true about Aida. She gets very happy whenever she has the chance to share with others her cakes and cookies. She hardly ever cries, and prefers to stand for herself instead of that

Very sweet picture of them. And like seeing how they contrast. Not to mention, one can look girly without things like excessive pink and makeup...depends on one's style. *laughs* Anyways, I see the resemblence in their hair!

Yeah that's right, they can look girly without all those stuff! If we could only give that advice to Barbie and all those role models the market pretends to push on girls these days...

A rule of thumb among the Friendsies is that, if something is too girly for Aida, that will be true for the rest
