Description "1921" is the third in a series of posters celebrating historical events using modern styles and imagery. "1921" marks the final year the Irish War of Independence when the British Empire began relinquishing it's imperial rule over the Emerald Isle. Almost a year on from the massacre of Bloody Sunday, a truce was formed at Dáil Éireann and the Irish Republic was born, liberating all of Ireland save the Northern counties which remain under the rule of the British.

Stylistically the poster is extremely minimalist, consisting of only green hills in the foreground, the silhouette of an elderly man and clouds the clouds behind him in orange, over a white background, these being the colours of the Irish tricolour flag, potent symbol of the Republic. The date "1921", in traditional Celtic script, tops the piece.
