I think the girl you saw in the magazine may be Emma Ward! She's got that out of the space unique look.
Great picture!

damn nice I love the pores one face and all the small details I can see that make human skin look impefect. I realize she isn't supose to be photo realistic but one eye seems a bit difrent from the other. other than that shes perfect.

It's Gemma Ward! The most beautiful girl on earth, literally. Interesting exaggerations of the eyes and forehead.

i made a layer over all the skin with sortof red speckles on it, this made the skin look much realer coz things painted in photoshop tend to look plasticy

that is so believable it's unbelievable.
especially the top of the head and the eyes.
you could make a lot of money doing these portraits as commissions.

skin effect?
The detail in the skin, and pores is what makes it i think. and the softness around the nose, lips, and eye lids help make it that much more realistic. i think a slight gloss on the lips would look nice.
Your attention to detail, and color is lovely. This makes me want to whip out my tablet and start experimenting with it again.
but if you could tell me more about your techniques and the skin effect that would be great! i have been trying to make my illustrations seem real but i could never capture the skin right.
