I didn't have time to finish this one, so I'll probably be reuploading this later when I have time to do the idea justice.As usual, I don't like my background. I'll probably start the background from scratch, but Vinyl and Tavi just need shading.
Vinyl and Tavi for day 22 of Equestria Daily's NATG, draw a pony with a friend /hanging out.

Oh, man, this is really awesome.
Doesn't hurt that these are my two favorite background ponies, but still. This is REALLY good.
Can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished! I'll hold off on any specific compliments or criticism until then; I for one can't stand a lot of mid-drawing critique, and I wouldn't want to subject you to that if you feel the same way.

what youve done with the background perfectly shows to style of both ponies and works great
and how they clash but end up fitting together anyway
and im avtually not bothered by no shading on this
but im sure itll look great with it as well
dont drastically change that background if u do mess with it

I don't like it because it's too simple. You're right when you talk about clashing and fitting together anyway, but I can do that exact theme better, I know I can.
Take a look at this piece (I was part using it for inspiration), and tell me it's not a better background using the exact same theme.
