Description Skavens apparently have guns.

One of the great 4 clans of the Skaven, Clan Skyre, produces amazingly high-tech weaponry despite the setting being set in medieval-like times.

From the lexicanum:

"The Ratling Gun is a six-barreled rotary gun operated by a Skaven weapons team. Ratling Guns are a relatively recent invention of Clan Skryre . The weapon is operated by warp steam and a hand crank which rotates the barrels and unleashes a hail of warp-laced bullets sufficient to cut down an entire enemy unit."

The idea of some sort of super-steam powered guns amuses me somewhat.

This card is, of course, an attempt to translate gatling guns into Magic. Instead of the creature dealing combat damage, you unleash a barrage of bullets one at a time with mana. If the creature is not blocked by any creature, it can attack the player its attacking instead. Just like normal trample damage. (Although it might not actually work this way. Perhaps "If this creature is blocked by zero creatures" would be a better phrasing)

What card-maker site do you use for these?

I'm using a program called Magic Set Editor 2. magicseteditor.sourceforge.net…

I can't remember if this works right or not. It may be that this is unblocked, all times even when it isn't in combat? Can't remember.

I am a huge fan of Gatling guns.

If I remember the rulings correctly a creature is 'unblocked' when it is declared as attacking ad is then not blocked by a creature by the defending player.
However if the attacking creature is blocked, then said blocker is then killed after declaration, the attacking creature is still considered blocked and deals no combat damage, I think.

Thanks. What about the time where it declares an attack, but before the declare blockers step?

Then it is considered an attacker and nothing else. the entire blocked/unblocked kerfuffle does not occur until the declare blocker(s) step.
