It's especially irritating whenever you make it absolutely clear that you do NOT want to be thanked, and people do it anyway.

Ugh! I know.
On a dA group for my website, some jackass decided it would be a good idea to advertise their site. People are so inconsiderate.

That IS rude!
Did someone try spamming your page recently?

Not recently, though it has happened to me a few times. Though it's nowhere near as common as it used to be for me, I still see a lot of people getting flooded with messages from complete strangers asking people to give them points or llamas, or saying something like, "Hay can u check out my gallery plz". That's mainly what this stamp is referring to, and I really dislike it. I know I'm not alone.

The best way to deal with those messages is to ignore them completely. Speaking from experience, giving them what they want will only make them spam you some more.

When I saw the thumbnail, I was worried. Thankfully this doesn't apply to me.

Don't worry, you're safe. What I'm specifically referring to are these people who simply use another deviant's page as an excuse for advertising their own galleries, telling people to vote for them in some contest, or give them points, made all the more annoying by the fact that they have had no prior contact with them.

Thanks for including the link. Never made a stamp but everyone seems to like them.
I can't say that I've seen people advertising themselves on other peoples' pages before, but it doesn't surprise me. I understand the need for publicity but I'd feel kind of low shoveling my own product on someone else's space.

You're welcome. They're really fun and surprisingly simple to make, as long as you have the right programs for it (I use GIMP for all my stamps, but a lot of other people use Photoshop).
Yeah, it has happened before. What I'm mainly referring to here, though, are these people who beg complete strangers to give them stuff or check out their galleries. Back in August, I think, I remember getting flooded with a bunch of messages from people I had no prior contact with asking me to give them points. And it hasn't only happened to me; there are plenty of other users who got spammed by random beggars.

It's surprising how many stamps you find out there. Actually, I think you've made quite a few yourself. I remember looking over your gallery a while back and good number of things made me laugh but were very short. Using my shoddy deductive reasoning (or would this be inductive?), I can only guess they were stamps.
Wowzers, that's weird. I'd be even more embarrassed asking for points than views. Did they at least give you a Llama or add you to their DevWatch? At least show some dignity by making it more of an offer and less of a...well, begging. Every time I see one of those Point Donation Pools, my skin crawls just a little bit.

I'm not too big on stamps myself but I know a lot of artists do fan art/requests/etc to get their name out there. The ones I've seen do pretty good work and it normally makes me want to check out their real stuff. So when you're making stamps, at least it serves a purpose.
