I'm staying on this beautiful campus for four years.
Sorry for the recent inactivity. Still having problems with my editing technique!
If anyone could suggest some good free legal RAW/NEF conversion software, I'd be quite happy. I currently use UFRAW but I'm still struggling to get what I want out of it.

I use UFRAW (and other 100% open source, free programs) for all my photos... Check them out, if I can help you get what you want from UFRAW I'd be glad to. This is a whole heck of a lot prettier than *my* university campus, let me tell you!

Your university is at an extraordinary location. Can't help envy you. I am so glad that you study here. How do you study, don't you get urges to just throw your books to one side and travel and explore this glorious place?

I can't wait to get back next week! Yeah sometimes I just stop what I'm doing, put my shoes on and head out with my camera. But as I live on campus, I have plenty of non study time to explore.
