Anna stood on the starboard bridge wing with Captain Edward Smith and First Officer William Murdoch.
Titanic had made up the time it lost from a near-miss in Southampton, and now the ship was on its westbound track.

"Take her to sea, Mr. Murdoch. Let's stretch her legs."
"Yes, sir. All ahead full, Mr. Moody."
"All ahead full, aye."

Anna could feel the ship's mighty engines thrumming away below deck. A crisp spring breeze curled around her as Titanic gathered speed.

Her heart swelled with excitement watching the sparkle of waves on the horizon, each one that hit her prow was one less to separate her from New York.
