Description That's Gandalf, from the Lord of the Rings. I'm a huuuuuge fan of LoR, and I will for sure do some more stuff about it!
This is white pastel pencil in a black superficie, unfortunately when I sprayed some vernish, to prevent smudges, it totally ruined all the lights and contrasts that I done, such a waist, got really pissed off!...I will look after that in the next drawing.

Done with white pastel pen in a black colorplus paper

O Gandalf, do Senhor dos Anéis. Eu sou muuuuuuuuito fã de SdA, e pretendo fazer mais coisas sobre isso!
Esse desenho foi feito de láis de pastel seco sobre papel preto, só que infelizmente quando eu fui passar verniz em spray, pra prevenir futuros borrões, ele arruinou todo o meu sombreamento e contrastes...meu, fiquei muito frustrada...no próximo vou tomar mais cuidado, devia ter testado antes =/

Thanks so much! It's a lot coming from you! This drawing took me three nights, I would say about 9 hours then, it was really a creative rush that I wished I'd it more often...

Wow thank you very much, I really appreciate those compliments! And yeah, we do have quite similar interests, I guess I will watch you too! And yes, someday I will draw Aragorn! (althout I'm more a Legolas fan) I have this kind of personal project of drawing a bunch of characters, right now I'm doing Saruman, all based on a serie of photos that I found with them all in a black background, I love those black backgrounds!

You're welcome, you totally deserve it! Your style and technique (not to mention your great skills) are very unusual. I can only imagine, how hard it must be to draw something that looks like a photo... seriously, I'm really impressed
I just can't wait to see your Saruman and Aragorn!
And thank you for the watch, much appreciated, but I have to confess, that I actually can't draw well enough (especially humans). I like to do it but I can't but I can at least support you and your great art

well, can't say how much I appreciate this suport, and don't worry about drawing, I may be good at realistic stuff, but I suck when doing stuff with no reference, pretty much my week point =/

But is it even possible to draw a specific person, like Gandalf or Terry, without reference? I don't think so And I'm sure that many artists use them, and there's nothing wrong with it. Of course if it is done in moderation
