For the TLKFAA Theory Time contest: How Scar got his scar?
Before TLG set the origins of Scar's scar straight, there were lots of theories circulating about it. The assassination theory is probably the most widespread.
However, there was a semi-official explanation that said that Mufasa caused Scar's scar and the name "Scar" was given to him in what he perceived as mockery.
I expanded upon that theory and came up with a backstory.
While playing, Mufasa accidentally hit Scar in the eye, resulting in his scar and sending him into the Elephant Graveyard. As the Elephant Graveyard was the dwelling place of the hyenas, Scar was teased for allegedly having been picked on by those fleabags. This theory might make more sense than him being bitten by a cobra and being made evil by his venom, especially for those who reject TLG as deception and disgrace. I've been thinking about other theories, including how snake venom can turn somebody evil (but my explanation would be rejected on the grounds of having "magic" in it) and all the animal and language-related plotholes in TLG Season 3 (again because of magic, but also because I can't draw trees and red pandas).
