Sixth pic I did for American McGee's Alice back in 2001This is my favourite level in the game.
The damn pic also took half my life away. I think I developed back pains after this. No food, no drink, no leaving the chair, had to stare at that level for 6 hours straight.
The background is from the game, the left building is the castle and the right building I pulled together from components around the town of the Pale Realm.
Alice and the Madhatter having a game of chess...on a table that's supported by Atlas who's got a checkered world on his shoulders.
But I can honestly say this is my fav pic. (Funny thing the characters only took me 1/2 hour to draw while the background took 6.)

LOL the castle building itself took longer...not because of any overwhelming detail but because I had to position Alice in a tasteful postition where I could see the whole damn thing. I stood at every angle possible and picked the most unlikely place.
oh..that door u see on the second floor on the right building? that's the door Alice came out of when she went to second floor for the lever...
