wonderful, super pronounced depth of field, i know that is more photography, but i feel it applies here well. the way the line definition gets tighter at the center of the subject matter yet less focused as it fans out. nice.

Strictly speaking, the depth of field - is not the exclusive prerogative of the photography. Yes, Chuck Close in his early works impressively emphasized sharpness on the cheek and eyelashes, leading to blur the ear and back of the nose.
But look portraits by Ingres, and before him - by Vermeer.
