Thank you, my dear. If you must know, I shall tell you the results of the battle:
To say that the battle was hard would be an understatement; this battle was extremely hard! Rayquaza definitely earned its title as the strongest of the Weather Trio. That's not to say that Flygon was taken out in one shot, in fact, Flygon was showing a side to him that Amanda did not expect to see in this particular battle. Flygon was, out of the other Pokémon on her team, normally the calm one, more like a father figure who cared deeply for his team mates. The last time she had seen this side of him come out was during the battle with the Elite Four Member, Drake. Drake's Salamence, the most intimidating of all his Pokémon, brought out the Dragon Rage inside of Flygon and in exchange for that, Flygon gave his all, defeating the Salemence. In this battle with Rayquaza, Flygon was proving to the great dragon of the sky that he was not some ordinary Flygon, but a Dragon-type that was proving he had hidden potential that was going to outshine his own rival, Salemence.
"Flygon, use Dragon Claw!" Amanda called out, which Flygon responded to promptly by charging at Rayquaza with both his claws glowing. Rayquaza met Flygon's Dragon Claw with its own Dragon Claw, grabbing the Flygon and taking it up higher into the sky. Amanda watched the two Pokémon disappear into the storm clouds above and she held her breath.
The next thing to happen would have shocked many Pokémon Trainers and probably would have made many Salamence fans and users angry about this. Out of the clouds came Flygon, gripping Rayquaza by its tail in his own mouth and dragging it back down to the Sky Pillar as fast as it could. Rayquaza looked like it was putting up no resistance and Amanda noticed that sparks were coming off its body. Could it be possible that Rayquaza got paralyzed from a lightning bolt within the storm clouds?
Now Flygon could have taken advantage of this situation by slamming the Legendary Dragon-type down onto the top floor of the Sky Pillar, but the next thing he did made Amanda a proud Pokémon Trainer. Flygon wasn't dragging Rayquaza down because of the fight; he was dragging Rayquaza back down because it got paralyzed during the battle by natural forces and that would not be a fair battle whatsoever. As carefully as he could, Flygon set the Legendary Dragon-type down on top of Sky Pillar and let it go.
"Spot on, Flygon, you'd make a mother proud," Amanda said as she reached into its bag and grabbed a Cheri Berry, a few Oran and Sitrus Berries, and a Max Potion. She approached the Legendary Dragon-type carefully and cautiously. Rayquaza, seeing her advancement, growled at her, whining as it felt the paralysis hold it back from doing anything too rash. Flygon got on the defense, letting Rayquaza know not to mess with his trainer by growling back at it.
"Easy, Rayquaza, my intentions are good," Amanda said calmly as she got closer to it. "Now open up your mouth." She held the berries before the dragon, who actually opened its mouth and allowed her to toss the berries into its mouth. It chewed on the berries, allowing the sweetnesses of the Oran and Sitrus Berries to tickle its taste buds and allowed it to ignore the spiciness of the Cheri Berry. With it distracted from Amanda, she began to spray its body with the Max Potion, healing the Legendary Dragon-type of its battle wounds.
"And done," she said happily. She patted the dragon's side, who swung its head around to look at her. "There's a good dragon. See? My intentions are very good. I don't battle your kind for malice, I do it for the experience of a lifetime. Getting the chance to meet you made me very happy. Thank you for the battle."
Rayquaza growled a little bit, not because it was angry; it was content and was responding to the human talking to it.

You're welcome, sweetie. Oh, and hope you'll have a happy Easter. ^^ I'm listening.
Well, I really got to say how you sure thought up a different way for Amanda to bond with a Legendary Pokémon rather than going for the catch with an Ultra or Master Ball. It's quite unique, and I really like it. ^^ I also like how close she is with her Flygon to the point that she is like a mother figure to her. Lot of action in that battle and it kept me on my toes, excited to see how it all plays out. Oh, yes, and about your Amanda character, I checked out your journal, and I find it sweet how you named her after a lifeguard you admired. ^^ I'm curious to know, what kind of teams did she have? I bet they differed from region to region.
