Twitter / Pixiv / InstagramThis was pretty fun to work on... at first. After a while I started getting tired, as is usually the case with me and digital painting. :u Painting the metal was fun though. Also challenged myself to play with colours in my shading.
Could be more polished, but I'd rather move on to other things. I plan to make more YGO fan art in the future but I want to work on my own stuff for now.
Time taken: ~2 weeks

Well, aside from RPers who aren't so good at RPing, in YGO it also depends on which version of the character you're basing it on (manga vs Japanese anime vs dubbed anime). I've found that the characterisation can change slightly or enormously between each of those.

The spin-offs all suck, do you agree?

Well, I like Duel Monsters the most. I think I've only seen half of GX and know very little of the others. Wasn't too keen on the whole 'card games on motorcycles' idea. 
As far as I know the only thing the spin-offs did was add more weird elements to the gameplay. If they add those to Duel Links, I'm going to stop playing haha.

I'm a bit of a translation/localisation nerd, so yes, I have watched some of it alongside the English for comparison. It's honestly almost like watching two different shows haha. Normally huge variation between versions would bother me, but oddly, not with Yu-Gi-Oh!.
I enjoy most of the 4Kids voice work, but there are quite a few unnecessary or questionable changes to the content of the show. The censorship for making it kid-friendly isn't even the biggest issue (although that's a big part of it). But even the Japanese anime had to adapt a few things to make it tamer than the manga. Presumably to meet broadcasting regulations or something.
I heard there was an uncut dub in the works that stopped after like 9 episodes or something. I don't recall ever watching it though.

I've seen Pyramid of Light and Dark Side of Dimensions. Haven't seen that old Japan-only about Red Eyes or Bonds Beyond Time.

Nope. Only saw the English one when I was a kid (and don't remember that much of it tbh). But I heard that the Japanese version came later but has slightly longer run time? DSOD is the inverse haha; the English version came after but has a few minutes more footage.

It also has some scenes swapped around to make it flow better! The dialogue makes more sense, and the story is better written.

Well, I'm not totally sure if the changes occurred between the releases or they were already different since pre-US release. I read somewhere that the Japanese version patched up a few continuity issues and a bunch of other details, so it's possible that they did that in the half-year or so gap between releases.
