You are so good at placing figures in unusual angles. This is beautiful. Love the colours, the background, the clothes, everything.

O my gosh... I love it. I had a mad-about-making-paper-cranes time after I finished Ghost in the Shell...
And this picture brings me such a warm-melancholic sense... How can I not remember that chapter! Can I have a cookie too?

This picture is awe inspiring, it really is. I recently watched 2nd GIG again, and I remember the first time I realized it was Motoko and Kuze in the hospital as kids...it floored me and I'm still amazed by that fact to this day.
But back to this amazing work of art. The perspective we're seeing the characters and the buildings leaves me with a sense of vertigo. However the light inbetween them gives their faces a soft, and almost life like tone...very hard to pull off, yet you've done it perfectly!

I love this pairing. I don't know if that was what you were planning but this just makes me feel very depressed. Even though the series was very depressing. I wish that Hideo had stayed alive, Motoko would have been very happy, and maybe their world wouldn't be so sad and depressing.

I assume then that you like this pairing. Believe it or not there are only 5 MotokoxKuze fanfictions on FF.com! And One of them is mine! so yeah not many people share our sentiment.

I hope you donβt mind me commenting on this, despite it being two years old~
I recently watched a clip about the story between Kuze and Motoko on Youtube, and it was just that one scene that really got me to like this couple. I have not watch the entire first and second seasons of Ghost in the Shell, so I am clueless what happened between Kuze and Motoko. However, the story how Kuze would make a thousand cranes just so the girl, Motoko, would be alright is just too sweet.
Even at such a young age, it is obvious that there is real love between Kuze and Motoko. How Kuzeβs effect to wish Motoko good recovery and Motoko convincing Kuze to get a cybernetic body so he can a normal boy again just shows the sweet love between them.
Anyways onto the picture, though it is going to be hard to start off-- Iβm not sure what to describe first!
To start off, I really like is how you mix anime and realism together, it really bring out the picture. It gives that realistic feel that just pops out to you and pulls you into the picture. It is a great touch to add strands of hair flowing from their hair, as well as the gleam of their eyes and lips. The smallest details in their picture really brings it out, I do not know how you have the patience to all that-- it amazes me since I would have given out even when just coloring the hair. Haha!
The coloring is really smooth and soft. I really like how real you made their hair, skin, and clothes are. Usually, when someone attempt to color like this, it looks fake, especially the skin. Nevertheless, you pulled off the color well to work with the style to make it realistic. The details you color on their faces is unbelievable, it is just amazing. The lighting is spot on and is in the right places. I just adore how the eyes look
Not only that, the details on the clothes is brilliant as well, like the buttons, Japanese symbols on Kuzeβs jacket, and zipper on Motokoβs jacket. Not to mention the buildings, how detailed they look as well-- all the windows uniquely design and not just plain old squares. You really worked out pink against the gray buildings, which can be hard but you pulled it off. I am just amaze but all the designs you added on the buildings, it really adds onto the picture.
The way you have Motoko and Kuze looking straight up at the viewers while the buildings are pointed in the other direction is unique. Normally, we would see them standing on the sidewalk with the view of the bottom of the buildings, or looking up at Kuze and Motoko as they looked at the sky. The way you worked it is we can see Kuze and Motokoβs faces, see the buildings, and the sky really makes the picture.
Now mentioning the sky, I love how detail it looks! It is absolutely perfect, spot on actually. The warm colors really brings out the mood of the picture, the sky just adds onto eye pleasing of the picture and I think thatβs what really made the picture amazing as it is.
However, the real stars of the picture are, of course, Motoko and Kuze. I just love the close relation they have in the picture. Itβs like they we fighting, as shown how Kuze is holding the knife, and then, Motoko takes out a paper crane. I can even imagine Motoko telling Kuze if he could make her paper cranes like he used to when they were young.
This is the first picture that captured my attention when I searched Kuze and Motoko, and truthfully it is the best picture of them on here. I know if Shirow saw this, he would be proud to have someone this talented to draw his characters like this
I am really glad to search Motoko and Kuze, because I am awarded with this amazing picture of them that really portrays their relationship. How a paper crane can bring two people from a terrorist organization and counter-terrorist organization together to remind them of their childhood together.
Astounding work you made, it is one of the best Ghost of the Shell artwork on here and I am glad I found it. It is totally work the viewing and commenting on it

Do I get cookies for knowing that when Kuze was in the hospital, all he did was fold paper cranes for Motoko, even (and especially) after he thought she'd died, or did someone get that already?
And it's Shirow Masamune who came up with Ghost in the Shell, so...
Very beautiful!!

I keep hoping that Kuze is really ok (I just watched the whole 2nd GIG again a few days ago) and that suddenly 3rd GIG will happen, and Kuze will jump out of a hospital bed and say, "HA! I'm Immortal! Yay!" only sexier...because "HA! I'm Immortal! Yay!" isn't sexy...but Kuze is...yep...I'm probably say "HA! I'm Immortal! Yay!" though...

oh! I remember the paper cranes from the one episode where the lady who told Motoko about the two children who happened to be Kuze and the major and how they had to get new prosthetics and the major was folding paper cranes and Kuze eventually started doing it. (XD nice little letters there...Kuze WAS hot >w> and people love him XD) *fav* I got all sad after Kuze was killed off... so I went out to buy the DVDs to fill the void space XDDDD
