Ohh nice!! Lol it inspired me too. If you friend wants, check out this mini excerpt for a possible storyline:

"Yo, Sasuke did you check out the news?"

Sasuke turned his attention away from his case files to see his baka partner Naruto, standing in front of him.

"Can't you see I'm busy? Why don't you go work on the cases instead of reading the gossip column."

Naruto blushed in response to Sasuke's comment.

"What the hell. I don't read that crap...Anyways, that's not what I'm talking about. Remember that case we investigated 2 weeks ago...well it's front page news."

Sasuke briefly recalled the case they were called out to investigate in downtown Konoha. The victim was a 25 year old male who was strangled to death. The only evidence they found at the crime scene was a single cherry blossom.

"The case was closed. Don't you remember? The wife was cheating on him and her lover decided to kill the husband so he could have the wife all to himself. They are both in prison now."

"Yeah I know, I was there too, but that's not what I was talking about. There's been another murder and a cherry blossom was left behind at the crime scene."

"What? Give me that."

Sasuke grabbed the newspaper out of Naruto's hands and quickly skimmed the article. Same victim type and same cherry blossom. This couldn't be.

"You don't think we put the wrong people in jail..do you?"

Sasuke didn't even respond because that was exactly what he was thinking.

"I don't know, but we need to head over to the crime scene. How the hell did the news find out about this before we did?"

"What do you expect? It's their job to be ahead of the police investigation. But Sasuke, you don't think we are dealing with a serial killer..do you?"

"I told you, we need to investigate the crime scene first."

Naruto sighed before walking over to his desk to grab his badge and keys.

"Fine, but what do you know. This will be our first serial killer in 10 years. Now if the killer is a female, then we would've set a new record."

"Shut up Naruto, and let's head out before our boss read's the paper."

"Hai, hai...but you have to admit, a female serial killer would be cool."

"Che. Yeah right, no woman would be capable of doing this. Now come on. We have a crime scene to investigate."

"Oh? I've seem to have made front page. How interesting."

After skimming the article, the woman smiled before crumpling up the newspaper and throwing it in the wastebasket. Slowly she walked over to the unconscious man that was laying on the bed. A sighed escaped her lips as she observed the unconscious figure. She had really thought he was the one that was going to cure her boredom and loneliness...ahh well. Reaching for the pillow, the woman pressed a kiss on the man's forehead.

"Don't worry. At least you will be famous..."

Lol sorry for the long comment and it might be cheesy but hopefully it would help inspire you or your friend

Uhm I guess Lana del rey didn't mean "serial killer" literally, more like a metaphor for her yearning for men/love? Breaking the hearts of  the men she plays with,
 I guess that was the actual meaning but WHAT THE HECK WAIT. Your excerpt was a whole new dimension and I frickin LOVE the idea of Sakura being the
sexy and hot criminal and sasuke having to catch her omgomgomg me likey me likey *__* damn it's all your fault and now I am so damn inspired myself
and want to do another one with your AU XDDD wow i am still flashed. it is soo late here (1:32am) and I have to get up early tomorrow but I can't
stay calm and do nothing, while having that fabulous concept and idea in my head.. ahhhh xDD
And that wasn't cheesy at all it has a dark touch to it at the end ( I am a huge sucker for deep down dark dramas),
while my idea was a little more.. on the bittersweet,sad and lonely side.. (Is my english so messed up that I described it so poor? Q_Q)

Yup that is probably what Lana del Rey meant, I just went for a more literal definition of it...I guess it's because I was watching Criminal Minds and ta dah, this idea popped up and it would match your picture. Your english is definitely fine. I knew what direction you were coming from and I thought a female serial killer killing men because she is trying to satisfy her thirst for true love would be fun. Plus the thought of Sasuke as a detective was...entertaing So definitely don't worry about your English, I just watch too many detective shows.

T_T so sorry for inspiring you when you need to wake up early. Best solution...coffee in the morning! Or just go to sleep and wait until the next day to draw the pic. The concept won't be going anywhere On that note, can't wait to see your drawing..and maybe I will write a fanfic with this storyline, inspired by you

Omg! This is perfect in different shades of perfection. Besides this Lana Del Rey's vibe, totally brings me back to Basic Instinct (Yes, that movie with Sharon Stone) or something through Mr and Mrs Smith and Dexter. I'm in love with the possibility, mainly forming a dark web of crimes, as would a good serial killer, and another dose of something warm between her and Sasuke. I'm not an expert, but it is humanly possible for someone to leave only ONE evidence? I've seen cases where even the person cleaning up or using poison, always ends up slipping on some evidence, but it was ignored by the police only come to light years later. Pardon if it was inconvenient. If you keep writing, I read with great pleasure. (Sorry about my english too.)

Thank you for reading the mini excerpt and the comment!
In theory, it is impossible for only one piece of evidence
to be left behind in the crime scene. I did say that in the first
crime scene, all they found was the cherry blossom,
because I wanted that to be Sakura's signature for after each kill.
I didn't go too in depth because it was a mini brainstorm of an idea.
BUT, the plan is that after they confirm that it is the same killer,
they are going to have to re-examine the 1st crime scene to find more
evidence. It was definitely not inconvenient, because you helped
point out a fact that would help make the story even better and more
realistic. I do have plans to continue the story...maybe the first chapter
will be up soon. I'm glad that the storyline interests you (Oh, your English
is perfect)
