Description I only suddenly realized whilst inking this page that "Koji" there (named after several annoying characters from several different anime) is actually a stoner. I subsequently realized that this actually explains a LOT of the stupid male characters who show up in my comics, and at least a few of the dumber female ones.

Which makes me wonder why I apparently hung out with so many of them in high school.

Don't do drugs, kids! It's just plain stupid!

On a totally unrelated note, one time I was in this restaurant with my ex, and the middle aged waitress, upon suddenly noticing the long blonde hair draped across my chest, decided that it was perfectly acceptable behavior to put her hands all over my boobs while feeling my hair.

Seriously, if you want to touch someone's hair, ask first.

I dont know why but on the fifth panel I could have swear that Ryous face just saying " if you have something to say about my hair, I am going to break your fucking arm."

Is that Ryou Bakura there?
(I forget if I've ever mentioned this before, but I remember at least one or two people before, coming up behind me and stroking my hair. I didn't even know they were there O_o I dislike that jumpy feeling I get when surprised)

(didn't happen to see this when you first commented)

I hate it when people do that! I mean, your hair is very pet-able looking, yes, but you have the same right to not be randomly touched as anyone else. DX

I guess next time, I should turn around and touch theirs, too. That should be fun to see how it plays out.
Though, when that happens, I'm not certain about whether or not they asked me without me hearing them, because I've gotten pretty good at tuning out dialogue that's not obviously directed at me. (so now instead of some weirdo who acts like you're talking to them when you're not, I'm some weirdo who ignores you unless you start petting their hair or something. >_>" )

(this has been a very commenty hour or so... it's kind of interesting. Hmm... I also need to get around to some of your 'this year's deviations' again. I just can't seem to get my message center down below 7,000 at one time... And it's over 9,000 again. I keep thinking that once I clear everything out, I could keep it out, but I can never get there. ...especially now that I've joined a group that adds 30 deviations every day.)

Ha, yeah, DeviantArt is wonderful, but it can get overwhelming FAST.

...I'm so bad, though. If I don't get any comments or faves on a deviation I'd just uploaded, I think there must be something wrong with it, and expecting everyone who watches me to see it, but I end up going a year before looking at other people's deviations. >_>" Maybe I should put a limitation on my watches, so that I can only watch 10 people at a time, and if I want to watch someone else, I have to change someone out. Or 20. I probably watch around 40-50 now, though, and I'd feel guilty for unwatching people... And then there's the thing where I'd kind of not want to lose contact with people... So, I guess I'm back to looking at 50-100 deviations a day until I get kind of tired of it after a few days and go a week or two without looking at any. (wonders if I've had this same conversation before)

Lol, not with me, you haven't. But I'm pretty much the same way. Even worse is that on my other account, I don't have people's deviations stacked (I don't ever think to when I'm on there) so I can't even go "Okay, now I'mma just look at everything this person did in the past whatever and click through the ones I like."

....I should really get around to doing that.

Wait, Bakura's jacket is pink in this?

No, no, Koji's talking about the pink jacket that's part of the Domino GIRLS' uniform, and how he thinks Bakura is so girly that he should be wearing that uniform instead.

OMG, waitress story. man, that killed me XD

by the way (and i'm not much good at this either) aren't the feet you draw a tad small for the overall body?

In this case, it's partly the angle, but honestly the skill I have at proportions varies from day to day.

It looks to me like what happened is that I was so concerned with getting the poses to look right that I wasn't paying as much attention to the feet, and accidentally made the shoes the same size as the actual feet. (Physical violence is not one of my artistic strong suits.)

Bakura's look the right size to me, though. He's wearing thinner shoes than Mitsu and Koji are.

Ah, ok. I was focusing mostly on Mitsu's. I mean, again, it's not like I have much room to talk. I draw all feet as black blobs hanging out behind oversized pants.

Hee, yes, Mitsu's are definitely too small there.

No, I think you've probably looked at enough human feet over the years to have ENOUGH room to talk. XD I only escaped the "avoiding all possible reasons to draw them" stage in the past four years, myself. (And considering that I've been drawing comics in earnest since 1998 that's pretty bad.)

Heh, well don't worry. You're better than I am. If I draw feet, I try to keep it to something like this:

...wow, there are not enough words for the waitress, but thank you for the anti-drug ad, much better to tell it with idiots than scared straight.

Yeah, I couldn't see much reason to do drugs as a kid. The sight of one of your friends staggering down the school hallway and barely making it out the door because of how high she was doesn't really leave a person with the best impression. Not to mention how funny and smart most of these people were when they were clean. It just seemed like a terrible way to waste all the time I could spend drawing instead.
