well done, those are spot on, i would love to use this in my brochures for my chiropractic office, because they have a nice balance of artistic expression and accurate anatomy

Hi! Thank you very much for the compliment. Although I very much appreciate your interest in my work, I do not condone the use of these drawings in any commercial form, unless the rights to use them have been payed for and an arrangement has been agreed upon.

you are a very talented artist and should be paid for the use of your creations. what terms would you see as fair for the use of your drawings, specifically the pelvis?

If you wouldn't mind sending me a note stating what you would like the full use to be (say if you want to be able to use it in more places than just the brochure, if you want to use it on websites etc.), and just letting me know anything you feel is relevant to it's use, I can send you over some quotes and we can negotiate . (I'm asking for a note, mainly for privacy reasons for both of us and it's just a bit easier to keep track of )

Where do you make your anatomy studies from?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

YukeraYasha In reply to WolfOfSahara [2011-03-05 03:57:42 +0000 UTC]

I made them from life, we had plaster molds of bones in our lifedrawing/anatomy class and we used them as reference for all our drawings.

right is male and left is female right? I'm assuming that because the one on the right is bowl shaped.

DannyMclane In reply to ishouldplayzelda [2012-02-02 18:20:30 +0000 UTC]

it's all the same pelvis, if you look at the flair of the illili on the frontal you can tell its anthropoid.

YukeraYasha In reply to ishouldplayzelda [2009-09-19 00:27:31 +0000 UTC]

it was all based on the same pelvis, not sure if it was female or male, it's just all the different angles

Top left is front 3/4
Top right is profile
Middle left is view from the top
Middle right is view from the bottom
Bottom left is back view
Bottom right is front view

this is really accurate if you ask me. This must have taken you a while.

YukeraYasha In reply to shizuka-assassin [2008-12-04 05:05:08 +0000 UTC]

thank you!! and yes, the pelvis is really different, we got some cast models lent to us, and some of the details in the bone structure are really hard to draw correctly.

dang, I can't draw stuff like that. I'm still practicing. what I don't like in realistic art is that shading distinguishes the features (whch I suck at XD)

very true, and most do not have very every step.
just a tip though, draw from life, and use a very defined light source at first, it makes it much easier to draw using shadows and light if there are extreme darks and lights on the object. use a darker line for the dark areas and use a very light line for the light areas then work on the shading from there. sometimes it's easier to draw the outside of the shadows to figure out where they go before filling them in, just blend a lot.
