They were free in the Tower of London Tour, they practically come tunder your nose...and they are 30 or 40 cm long, from beack to tail! Wonderful!

I am surprised they have that much trust in people.

the royal ravens are free to jump whenever they like but I noticed they all have a lot of missing crucial feathers on the right: I asked about this and they told me that the ravens are not allowed to fly away from the tower of London, because the tradition wants them to be at least seven for each british Kingdom, just like they are a lucky charm. I think it's a bit sad though, 'cause I always imagined them as totally free and flying, if you know what I mean.

wow that is really terrible what gives people the right to think that they can do that....and who made up that rule these creatures were meant to be free and fly...what a cruel world we live in.A lucky charm? maybe they should brush up on their history.I was always told that Ravens are a symbol of death. I am just wondering if they can be reported for that.

Well, I don't think they could be reported 'cause they are the same who made the rules and, I swear, given that I'm not English, I thought I didn't understand what they explained to me. I knew Ravens were a very sacred symbol of death, just like they are guardians of souls that are going away...I only know one thing: it felt a little awkward knowing that they could not fly away, that they could not have their freedom at all.

They got nerve making those rules for these birds they really have no right to do that...it's how I feel birds are supposed to be free and fly not help captive because of some stupid belief.sad it is really sad

I know, I totally agree. I guess one cannot argue with them 'cause everybody has some rules and thinkgs but, believe me, I was not that happy to see this raven when he turned back and showed me his missing feathers.
