So you're writing a novel? I mean, is it published? Because this piece has really interested me.

About 550 pages of written material as of about two weeks ago. this is really good after about a six month hiatus from writing almost entirely. Modern fantasy, starts out sorta "Breakfast Club" and ends up kinds "Buffy", and that really is the best description. The watercolour of the two boys kissing, "Fire and Water Kiss", is from that series too. I have some pieces of that story posted on LJ. One of my New Year's resolutions is to finish the book this year.

I am going to try and get a few more pieces scanned this week, some of the larger ones that are impossible to do in a small scanner...Those include the Elemental Avatars, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air... Plus a few others about ten more, I think. :tired:

I have to get my own scanner... It's so expensive to get scans done for you....D: $6-$10 per piece....sigh.... I want to put more work up.

most places that do copies or prints can use their scanner to scan art into digital format which can then be uploaded onto a computer. This means very high resolution pictures, and beautiful detail. Unfortunately, it also tends to be expensive. One place I called wants ten buck per piece, when I have fifteen pieces to scan that adds up to uch:!!!!!!
The other place I contacted is better though. $5-6 per unless they were unusual size, then they charge per square foot. Still more than I want to pay but WTH...Need to do it eventually. I figure I will get them done a few at a time, and call it good.

what I really want is a good big scanner, but they are sooooooo very expensive...I can't afford the one I really want, but I may be able to find a good one used. That's about my best option right now. I really do need one at home, for the small pieces. the bigger ones will have to wait til I have the time and the money. grrr. Anyway, gotta go, working today.

Ah...big scanners...I just struggle taking shot after shot with my camera until I find one where the colours aren't too dull

yeah...I have done that, not satisfying...I'm a bit of perfectionist about my stuff heh, accepted it for my cell phone only.. The big scanner that I have looked up, even used are over a thousand, and with a monthly budget that would never cover that, well....meh...grump grump grumpy... Does not mean I don't want one....
