Description Here's a more detailed pixel ID tutorial. I tried to go by it step by step...but the full image might be too big? Please dl the full version! It is 600 x 2500...so I didn't want to break anyone's monitor Let me know if you got anymore questions~ happy pixelating xD no that's not a real word.

FONT FOR THE ID:
Arcadepix Font

EDIT: and I am a dorkus xD Please view my ID here Thanks for the favs guys!

FAQ:
1. Where can I download Photoshop 7.0?
I don't know. I don't promote software piracy. Quit asking me. Go befriend an art/design major and they might let you borrow their copy.
2. Can you tell me how to use -insert other non-PS7 programs here- to make my ID?
No. I didn't make my ID in another program, therefore I wouldn't know how to use said program.
3. How did you make the background/face shot/etc. Read the tutorial more thoroughly.
4. How do I shade my fighter?
This is entirely up to you and your tastes. Shading in pixels is a little tricky because you have to keep adjusting the colors. Just play with it and you'll be fine.

Nice, but I still have a question.

When you make pixel art, you start out on a low resolution size. But when I resize it to a bigger resolution, I start losing quality.

How do I fix that?

This is really helpful- and I use PS elements 9.0!

Square brushes are helpful.

Hello Game graphic designers,
we are from the Game-graphic.net team and 3 months ago we where looking for some game graphics for our game.
however we didnt want to use open source or ripped graphics since this will never take a game to the next level

Than we found out that there is litteraly no website on the internet that sells graphic pixel art tilesets spritesheets for your own games.
Than we decided to start our webshop and sell our own graphic game art... However while we where doing this we came up with the idea to share the glory with all of you pixel artists

Thats why we created a website called www.game-scripts.net this will allow you to create your account and instandly start selling your game graphics (After the admin section of the site has approve this)
We have no choice ofcours because we have to be sure that the art is not ripped or meets the requirements.

We will start commercial advertising with Google ads and other promotion campagnes after the site reached 250 Market items.
Buyers will instantly buy from the site and will pay you to download the file 100% secure

you can choose to pay out the money or to buy other items in the market.

WE like to see all designers at www.game-graphics.net

Lame. Please don't advertise on people's art or tutorials. It's bad taste, and could be reported for Spam.

hi, I had a question about pixels I can't find anyplace. I get that a tiny icon is 50x 50 pixels, but what about everything else? I see people making large pixel arts that are like 3, 5+ inches wide, but are still pixels, when I see things the same size done in non pixel. So how do you make things that are an inch or two wide pixel art, when the pixels are so tiny? like what pixel number equals what size on the computer screen

Yuri-Nikko In reply to LunaNoshi [2011-01-14 20:46:05 +0000 UTC]

Don't discourage yourself so quickly~ If you practice and keep at it you can improve your technical skills. A good way to practice is to try to duplicate another picture (free hand). Though if you feel unsteady you can try tracing. It's a good way to improve your wrist and fingers. When I was young I would get coloring books and when I ran out of stuff to color, I would just recopy the image by tracing it. I didn't really have a lot of electronic equipment when I was growing up whoa rant rant sorry xD

Yuri-Nikko In reply to Sakura-flor [2010-12-24 21:50:41 +0000 UTC]

If gimp lets you use layers I don't see why not. I don't know how gimp works so you might try it out.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sakura-flor In reply to Yuri-Nikko [2010-12-25 00:36:22 +0000 UTC]

Yes you can use layers
Yeah for having gimp for...almost 2 years...i still don't know much about it, just the basics lol XD

Yuri-Nikko In reply to Sakura-flor [2011-01-02 18:18:33 +0000 UTC]

You should be able to do this then. Are you able to open multiple windows too? That helps when you want to work in a particular area.

How can you open multiple windows?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sakura-flor In reply to Icelandichorselover [2011-02-09 21:13:45 +0000 UTC]

On gimp? On your canvas window, go to file, down to new, and choose the measurements you want it to be

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Icelandichorselover In reply to Sakura-flor [2011-02-10 07:34:20 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but you commented on this pic that there is this option you can put the same image in original size next to the one you're painting zoomed in so you have a better view at the whole thing

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sakura-flor In reply to Icelandichorselover [2011-02-11 01:13:52 +0000 UTC]

They never specified anything like that. They asked if you can open multiple windows, yes.
