Description Gah, this thing took like... two years. It's hand embroidery, not a cross-stitch. I kept getting weird photos since the thread is shiny, so this was the best I could get. Sorry for the bad quality. Also, I know that there are some serious problems with the symmetry of the face, but it's hard for me to see what I sketch on top of a fabric.

EDIT: Changed to a much better photo.

try streaching out the entire piece of fabric first. it will give you a flat surface to draw on

Yeah I know, but I don't have a frame or hoop as this isn't the sort of thing I normally do. I had absolutely no guidance by book, internet, or person, and this was my first attempt ever of this nature. I'm quite unhappy with the result.

Well it takes time for that kind of thing. With embroidery it takes alot of tweaking the product before you get the result u want, keep at it and it will get better if you dont have a frame try to get some spray adhesive and that will hold it in place for you

Glad you appreciate the work! I used a variety of colors in the embroidery to make it more realistic. Pity I couldn't get a good photo, because it looks even better in real life.

Aw, thank you! Nice to see that two years on this thing wasn't a complete waste

more often than not, the ones you spend the most time on, are by far, the greatest.
Doesn't apply to video games though

Even though the symmetry of the face is all wrong and the photo's quite blurry? Thanks, though.

...It is a little bit, but I don't think it's too off.
No problem!

Er, I said it was not a cross stitch, I used satin stitch for the whole thing. I just used the wrong type of fabric since I couldn't find any better. But thanks for the comment!

Two of my favorite things combined: tigers and embroidery. Lovely work, looks like a painting.

You finally uploaded it! |D After months of having it done.

...it really did take two years now that I come to think of it. Although to be fair you mostly worked on it in maybe 30 minute intervals each day.

Somehow it looks more 3D as a photograph. o.o

Yes, doesn't sound very efficient, does it? Though it would have took less time if I hadn't kept retouching the finished parts. Don't see what you mean by "3D", though...maybe it's just that in real life you see the whole thing, a flat piece of cloth, and not just focus on what's actually embroidered on it.
