try streaching out the entire piece of fabric first. it will give you a flat surface to draw on

Yeah I know, but I don't have a frame or hoop as this isn't the sort of thing I normally do. I had absolutely no guidance by book, internet, or person, and this was my first attempt ever of this nature. I'm quite unhappy with the result.

Er, I said it was not a cross stitch, I used satin stitch for the whole thing. I just used the wrong type of fabric since I couldn't find any better. But thanks for the comment!

Two of my favorite things combined: tigers and embroidery. Lovely work, looks like a painting.

You finally uploaded it! |D After months of having it done.
...it really did take two years now that I come to think of it. Although to be fair you mostly worked on it in maybe 30 minute intervals each day.
Somehow it looks more 3D as a photograph. o.o

Yes, doesn't sound very efficient, does it? Though it would have took less time if I hadn't kept retouching the finished parts. Don't see what you mean by "3D", though...maybe it's just that in real life you see the whole thing, a flat piece of cloth, and not just focus on what's actually embroidered on it.
