my interpretation of dnd's goddess of the grove, eldath! she's a lake spirit, neutral good, and quite shy! her symbol is a waterfall going into a still pool. honestly i really like eldath, she's strong in a gentle way :') in my campaign her following had dwindled heavily due to her quiet nature and rural location, but just when she was about to fade from existence a dragonborn paladin found her crying in a forest, her tears turning into a waterfall. they spent countless hours together, eldath's tears never stilling, and eventually they fell in love. the dragonborn renounced her old ways, swore to never use her breath weapon against another creature, and vowed to help eldath's following grow stronger. she renamed the forest where they first met to the 'vale of tears' (congrats if you catch this reference!) and now eldath cries tears of joy.Β--
