Cut-paper commission for of their character Tantrumi, firedancing!The orange paper I used for the fire ended up being unexpectedly difficult to work with...? But I really wanted to use glitter paper, so them's the breaks. It looked nice in the end, so that's what matters!

The sheet I was using was pretty big, so I didn't have to use more than one - but it DID have a lot of creases in it, unfortunately, so I had to be very careful not to cut through those.

That hair is my new favourite thing. The feel of volume. The gorgeous paper choice. I have a weakness for ripple-esque patterns. Speaking of, the spiralling of those flames is definitely my next favourite thing! The way they coil around her feat, and burst up into clusters, strung together with light - it's enought to get me writing poetry. XD

Haha, I'm glad you like it! The fire certainly was a challenge, but once I got a rhythm going it was actually kind of relaxing to cut out all those swirls. (Although I did get increasingly more worried about accidentally tearing the paper, though - nothing like spending two hours cutting out a single piece, only to have it rip on the second-to-last cut) (NOT THAT THAT'S HAPPENED OR ANYTHING) (EXCEPT IT TOTALLY HAS AND IT WAS TERRIBLE) (not on this one though)
