I literally love every single word in this Melanie Martinez song holy smokes the feels With plastic surgery being normalized by celebrities it's hard not to think of taking the easy way sometimes 0v0 (especially as an artist since you're constantly drawing flawless/perfect people lmao)

First, the vision.
The vision in this beautiful draw is very, very, very good. The hair is very natural and the color is wonderful. Her eyes are so beautiful, and the hands are very realistic.
The originality.
The originality of this draw is wonderful. The lines, the tittle... Everything is original here.
The technique.
Omg, I always have a little crush on digital art, but this draw conquered me. The technique, the lines, the color... Everything here is so beautiful, so perfect, so amazing. Really, you decerve this.
The impact.
Okay, I was waiting for more impact, but... OMG. That's a pretty good critic for "if you aren't beautiful, nobody wants you". That's like a punch in this theme! The girl, the marcs on her face, her expression... The impact is big.
I need to give this draw a 42/10 and a 6/5.

I really like this, especially how sad the girl looks. It makes me feel a little emotional too. But there's something about this art piece that feels wrong.
1. -_- Her teeth. Where did the rest go?
2. Her face looks asymmetrical. The left side of her face looks a bit lower than the right, but I know how hard it is to make facial features look exactly the same without using a reflector. If that's your purpose though, okay.
3. Maybe you could've made half her face without makeup, showing that she's only an average girl. Try to make her a bit more relatable for more impact. (freckles!) However, keep the eye color. I feel like it would show her own, true distinguishable beauty.
4. Once I noticed each stroke of shading on her face, it's hard to not notice it.
5. Everything excluding her eyes is just too soft and a little eye straining, myself. Try to add more hard, sharp details to balance out.
6. That left hand should have those distinct hand wrinkles, even if it is in the light. (I tried it out myself)
Sorry if I'm complaining too much, but that's all. Love your works, Yuuike!

Use of the blue aura like background sets the situation to a T.
I see you did your research on plastic surgeons using dotted lines. Those eyes are breath taking.
The hand looks slightly off, perhaps sharpening the details of the palm more?
The outlines of the hand holding the pencil or pen is a bit too sharp but not noticeable from a distance.
You can add a small tear in her eyes as a sign of regret for the operation she had to face just to feel beautiful at the price of her unseen beauty.
In total, this is one of the gems of Deviantart not to be forgotten. Tops!!!

Overall, this is really nice. You definitely understand light and color. I am usually not the biggest fan of centering, because it makes the composition boring, but sometimes it works, like in this case. The only issue I see is with the hand that is not holding the pen. It is flat compared to everything else in the drawing. It doesn't look like it is fully realized. Maybe too much blending? Yeah, it just looks a little awkward. It just calls a little too much attention to itself when the focal point of the drawing is her head. But besides that, this is a great digital painting. Nice job. I love how the eyebrows are sort of ghostly, semi-transparent. Keep it up. ^_^

I was actually afraid of putting too much details on to the hand so that it would distract the viewer from the center of the photo - but i suppose i dumbed it down a bit too much haha ><

First of all, I am a huge Melanie Martinez fan, so of course I love this! The shading and choice of colors really bring out the impact of what's going on in the picture. Hands are my favorite part of the body (even though I can't draw them). To me, I see hands as the one of the most elegant parts of a persons body. The hands in this picture show that. I really do love the way you drew them. (Sorry if that sounds weird). I also absolutely love the message behind this drawing.
The problem I see are the teeth but every person sees a drawing differently than one another.
All in all, very nice my friend and keep up the good work!

Wow. WOW. This piece... it's just stunning! I love that you drew something so simple but it has a lot of symbolism behind it. Melanie's song is reflected perfectly in this. This girl is clearly very beautiful, but it's not enough. It's like saying even the most beautiful things get hurt. It also shows that people try to "fix" themselves even if they are already amazing. As for the piece itself, the technique and strokes look very smooth, and natural and the shading is awesome! The eyes really bring out her personality in the picture and her inner beauty. Overall, I really like this and I hope to see more pieces like these from you!

The proportions are nice, the coloring is decent and the overall look of the image is strong for being digital painting. The critique I'm about to apply is also suggested for your other works. It seems that you fear to use another tool besides the blur brush for the skin, limiting your options for texture and proper strong shading that can define the silouhete and overall value strength of your piece. In other words, don't fear to use darker values and more consistant lines to define the shapes. I also suggest you look up some color theory so you can give yourself an idea on how ambient color affects the tine colors of the skin and eyes.
Don't get me wrong, this piece is lovely, but I know you can still add up one or two things that can give your piece a stronger impact without making it lose its style.
For tutorials on the subjects I mentioned, there's a good teacher on youtube that goes by the name KNKL that gives a lot of lessons for digital painting that I suggest you give a try. Have a nice day e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="

BTW, I found a technique for skin rendering! looks like you need to know a bit of color theory, start off with the flat colors and cellshading. Then use water-color tools and then finish off with airbrush.
I tell you because I experimented with it a bit and gave excellent results!
