This lamp was made for class. At first, I was going to make some clouds with some crazy mechanism, but it obviously didn't work. So I had to make this last minute and I am very satisfied with the results <3It is made with wood painted with black jet spray paint and christmas lights. Let me tell you, smoothing those curves was a pain in the fingers.
PS: This picture was taken with my cell phone in class, I shall take a better picture once I set it up on my wall.

Unfortunately I don't have any pics of the process. It was such a rush to make this! But I basically drew the shape on a board of MDF, cut it out and made the holes, smoothed down the edges and painted it with spray paint after priming it. Then I glued the lights at the back and prayed to see it working. The back of this is pretty ugly, as it's only a model and no one's meant to see that part anyway

Haha... Who cares about the back when front is amazing. Most decoration things look ugly if you look at all the glue globs and tape piles. Or at least mine do.
Thanks! I'm on a mission to decorate my room with crafty things as I recently moved. This is going to go on my list... soon as I learn to use a jigsaw or comparable tool.

Beautiful! I don't know if it's the shape you gave to this tree but when I saw this I instantly thought of Tim Burton's movie "A Nightmare Before Christmas".

Lol I got that a lot, actually! I think the dark tone to it and the shape make it look out of a Burton movie.

I would, but I'm not in that art class anymore.
We were supposed to be making a clock, and I wanted to make one that kinda looked like a bonsai tree with a watch hanging from the branches...I tried to make it by braiding a bunch of thick wire together, but I failed miserably. I couldn't get it to look right.

I had to make a clock once too... I came up with another crazy mechanism and I failed so badly at it that I had to make something (ANYTHING) to show to class and it was all terrible
