Description Since these two didn't have much in the way of concept art, I'll just explain some of their inspirations here. Sculluna (From Luna, or moon) and Solure (From Sol, or sun) are ironically named contrary to how one would imagine. In reality, we have enough Pokémon that are merely emblematic of the sun and the moon, so I made these two a bit odd to offset the cliché. They are the sort of Lunatone and Solrock counterparts one would find in a cave, and they are the ace of the second gym leader. Sculluna, despite its bright, warm colors is based off Taino Moon Goddess statues. Interestingly enough, these statues tended to have more vibrant colors than one might imagine. Sculluna's pose bears quite a resemblance to the statues's poses as well. Solure is based off other ritualistic Zemi (god) statues that portray a man sitting with a large bowl on his head.

Details:

~096 Sculluna (Zemitsuki) The Forgotten Deity Pokémon. Their psychic powers give them their color, meaning that after they pass away, Sculluna leave behind a white clay-like figure of their former selves. Since these Pokémon are so rare, only their remains were occasionally dug up by Coabana's natives. They attributed Sculluna's crown's shape to the moon and gave it a name, using the clay-like remains to make other statues honoring the Pokémon. These statues are said to grant luck and prosperity. With modern spelunking, Sculluna can be found deep underground, using their brilliant crowns to light their paths and scare away predators to avoid exhausting their psychic powers.

~097 Solure (Youzemi) The Forgotten Deity Pokémon. Their psychic powers give them their color, meaning that after they pass away, Solure leave behind a white clay-like figure of their former selves. Since these Pokémon are so rare, only their remains were occasionally dug up by Coabana's natives. They attributed Solure's crown's disk to the sun and gave it a name, using the clay-like remains to make other statues honoring the Pokémon. These statues are said to grant victory and honor. With modern spelunking, Solure can be found deep underground, using their horns, which light up to resemble the face of an Umbryre, to scare away predators and avoid exhausting their psychic powers.
