Description Because my players were keeping on asking me to Storytell again (and because I have a kick-ass scenario in store for them, mwah), I was browsing through my Mage: The Ascension rulebook today for a little refresher, and while musing over the texts and images in it, the illustrations themselves made me feel like doing some b&w again - for the sake of it, but also because it was, so to say, "speaking" to me in this very moment.

Total "spur of the moment" inspiration, a.k.a "let's drop the book right now and draw!". I'm kinda toying with the idea of putting it in colors later on, but right now I like the strong background contrasts and lighter shadows as they are, and I wonder if colors wouldn't just throw it off more than anything else. I'll see. Critics very welcome, as I plan on making a print out of it if I still like it in 1-2 days...

Quick reference to a RL pic for the pose, so that I wouldn't completely mess up the basis idea, then full vectors.

EDIT - Fixed a layer that had gone poof. Silly me.

I love the movement in this. She looks like you caught her in mid-spin. And the line work is very graceful, it compliments everything very nicely. Awesome work!

Thank you for your commentβ€”even though I'm quite late in answering. I(And it's all the better if the picture works well this way, since I don't have the original file to apply corrections anymore. *pouts*)

Really cool comic-like tones here, and I just love the way her hair swirls about so sensually. In fact, everything just seems to move in this picture.

She's gorgeous! The cloth looks wonderful and very natural. The grayscale is really good, and this picture doesn't need any color. It's both graceful and fulfilling as is. *hugs*

gah...love it chica.. the grayscale is awesome for this and i love teh movement in this...
quick thing just cuz i noticed and now i can look away... her arm is in just the right place that she needs part of her nose at least.... can't really say why.. but something about the angle makes it look like she just doesn't have one..lol

Woops, thanks for pointing this to me! There *is* a nose, but looks like I screwed up with layers, or accidentally deleted it maybe... going to fix that!
