Description
6 (Crispin Glover) is the Artist. 6's fingers are ink pen nibs, which he uses to draw. He is white, covered in faded black stripes; his hair is made of ropes and is ink-stained, like much of his body; and his right eye is smaller than his left. He wears a key around his neck, but no one knows to what. The Scientist described him as being peculiar and unable to naturally fit in to his surroundings, and that he sees the world differently from the others. 6 is preoccupied with finding the Source, and only 9 listens to him. On the DVD, under the Deleted Scenes, it is shown that his key is used to opena secret compartment in the box containing the Scientist's message for 9, which plays a music box lullaby.
Aright so; like MANY 6 fans out there, I hate the fact that in the original concept and script of '9' our little visionary or artist as he is commonly referred to on the forum had such a greater part to play but than was showed over as the striped little nutball that only draws pictures. Don't get me wrong; I'm aware the title of the film is '9' and the focus shouldn't be on all the side characters but, gah! There's so much about 6 that isn't explained and just wish he had a little more scene time. The single scene of him having the key for the music box was mind-blowing! But...it's a deleted scene. Oh, well. I still love him
