Alright! Well, a while ago Mr. ~Grimiore2 lent me a book on bringing your characters to life. It was written by a Disney animator, and it was basically about giving them attitude and making them look like they're actually fleshy, emotive beings. It's a lot cooler than I just made it sound.
Anyway, since then I've been trying to get myself to draw expressions better which has made drawing a lot more fun. C: That is the first experiment.

The second experiment exists because I was really annoyed by how crappy these scans looked when I loaded them up. Therefore, I lined over them all in Photoshop which I think helped soooooooo much. It was tedious, but I assume I'll be doing that way more often.

Alright! Now about the individual doodles. The first three were me goofing around with "OOC OCs," or "out-of-character original-characters." Just keep that in mind.

1. Chordanalice and her atrocious hair! She has a very fiery and ambitious personality, so I figured her OOC would be shy and introverted.

2. Zaide and Sebastian! I love these guys and missed them greatly. Zaide is normally an emotional wreck and sobbing or flinching in fear all the time, so I figured making him look bubbly and confident would be OOC enough. Sebastian... I don't know. I guess he looks like he needs attention, which he normally doesn't. I really just put him in there because it helped with Zaide's. :T I also accidentally made him look like he's freaking twelve or something. He's supposed to be late 20s, but I guess I didn't care then.

3. Kiki! She's quiet, submissive, and would never talk out of turn for she knows its consequence, so she would be sassy and opinionated when OOC. Also, I made her hair black (because I messed up her other eye and was trying to cover it) which I guess fits since she would have Zylor's hair colour if... she... worked? I guess? Yeah, it was really just an excuse. This I find hilarious, because that's exactly the kind of character she used to be. Hmm. Also, I kept noticing that she looked like a mixture between Asami Sato and Tinker Bell.

5. I'm pretty sure Muscle Man is one of my favourite characters of all time. He's freaking hilarious and ugly with all his fat and man-boob glory. Also, he's so mean and annoying, but he's actually a pretty good guy and does his work when it comes down to it. You know who else does their work when it comes down to it?
also, while trying not to just copy an image when drawing him, i had to do a little study of him so now i think i could draw him at any time from memory. this pleases me.

6. Chordanalice. C: Probably the only thing I don't like about this one is her face shape. Chord has chubbier cheeks.

7. Sadstuck. Wait, that's just for Homestuck. Er, Sadstorystuff. Sure.
