Hi there, Zakkiya29. I'm *Akif-Magic from the :devFeedbackFenzy: Team 25 to critique or feedback your lovely artworks.

First of all, I love the eyes, you painted it so nicely. In this art. You painted, shaded, and lighted it so nicely which make it so detailed. The second thing i like is that, the rose is beautiful. The middle part of the rose is nice but when the outside looks like red sheet of paper that has curves. I don't understand the red line on above it's eyebrows.

Overall, you did a fantastic great job there. It is nice. I like the rose the most. Keep up the good work and have a nice day!

Hi there zakkiya this critique is part of FeedbackFrenzy's Feedback Week; I hope you're enjoying it

First thing, what a lovely piece of work! This shows an abundance of talent and skill, with a very good knowledge of colour I'm assuming the colour folder you entered this for was red? The variety of tones you've mixed here is very good, from the delicate pastels of her eyebrows to the richer ones around her neck; they all work together well and portray not only light, but the fragility of the skin in these two areas which ties in really well to the rose and that haunting expression. As well as this, the sheer amount of detail you included (i could stare at the lines around her eyes forever!) is magnificent! I adore that you didn't attempt to smooth out the small imperfections in the model's skin, but included them true to the picture I also think that the change of hues works very well, the colour palette is rich and earthy, but evened out with the ice blue of her eyes and background
I think that the red lines dividing her face seem a little too solid- more like tattoos than liquid painted onto her face. This could be remedied by varyign the tones within them more, leaving lighter patches that'll show more of the skin tone below them for example. Also, the original photo puts the light source slightly to the right, but in your interpretation, there are areas where the light source seems slightly to central. This can be seen in the shoulders, where I think the left side could do with being a tad darker, and the shadows under her eyebrows a little less symmetrical also
these are only nitpicks though, your technique is fantastic! You've done the original a great service here

Thankyou very much for taking your timeto critique my work. To be honest I was exhausted by time I reached the shoulders and I was in a hurry to finish it just to be in time for the contest. But thanks for your lovely advice

XD that's fine
it looks pretty exhausting one of the main reasons I don't focus on realism myself, so i have great respect for those who are patient enough to do so

from #FeedbackFrenzy team 8!

I love how rich the colors are in this. Sometimes really putting down the pencil on the paper can be a challenge but you had no problems with it, so this image came out a lot more vibrant than the reference you used. You've also got a bold style with highly contrasting shadows that's perfect for using so much color. It's easy to spend a lot of time being aware of this composition even though it's simple because it's so visually rewarding.

The one thing you should work on more is being aware of the difference between your style and that of your reference. The ref. is a lot more faded and has a greater range of subtler tones. When you're translating that to your style, think about eliminating some of those extra ranges--here, the eyes are bothering me just because the reflections on them seem weirdly stylized to me. (Also, the tear duct of the left eye on the nasal side is a bit too low.) I'm also not sure how much creative license you were wanting to take with this but the body is skewed in proportion to the head.

Besides that, I do like your fantastic use of color. Have you tried using a completely different color range from your photo reference (basically drawing the negative)?

Thanks so much for taking your time out to critique. I really appreciate it
I think where I went wrong with the proportion is because of the way I cropped it. I realized it only after the drawing was finished.

Hi! I'm from ! I love the colors in this piece and the eyes are just dazzling. The rose and the eyes really do work together! But I wish you had made the background a lighter blue, so it gives the rose a more focal point. The eyebrows are also a little too perfect, I would have liked to see some stray hairs. Also the blood seems to go beneath the eyebrows like it hasn't matted the hair. You could have fixed this easily by adding some red strokes to the hair in the affected area.
Overall, I like what you did and it really does look like the reference you used. However, I can't really judge your originality in this case. I still love it though! I can't wait to see what else you have!
