I can't stop drawing Saiyuki fan art. 0_0
BUT I've gotten substantially better at drawing the characters--they actually look somewhat like themselves now.
Copics, as I'm sure you can see. I had a few challenges with this, one being that some of my markers are beginning to go dry on me, and the other being that I really screwed up his face. I had this grand idea of painting the shadows with contrasting colors, but they were way, way too intense, and I, admittedly, had to desaturate them a bit in photoshop.
Alas.
All in all though, I'm pleased with the way this one turned out.

Wow. The colors on this one are so bright! I love how the green and the blue come together--makes it all so fresh and warm feeling. I like how the contrasting color shadows are working here, even if they're a little bright in real life. It looks very interesting here. It's fun to see all your Saiyuki fan art levelling up with your awesome marker skills. ^.^

Very nice! The colors are fantastic! It's really pretty striking. The coloring and highlighting of the eyes gives him a lot of character, too.

Gorgeous. Just - wow. I love the cool colors in this, a very calming contrast to Gojyo's piece. Also the face and proportions are well done. Definite fave. (I might even secretly wallpaper these on my screen : D )
