I'll agree with both of you, the gradient background is a bit out of place. Beyond that, this is a very unique design in regards to eSports, and it's nice to see someone finally step outside of the trends that everyone else is following. It reminds me more of a professional sports team website, like a soccer, hockey, or football team, and that's a very good thing! Keep up the great work!
