"In the winter, a large creature with a kind heart collects any thing he deems beautiful. He snatches shoes, tree branches, sandwiches, statues, stars in the sky, pets, thoughts, and puts them in his bag where he keeps them. What does he do with them? Pulls them out and looks at admires his collection. Every now and then, though, he gets caught..."Or at least that's what I wish the story was before I started painting this, haha.
Would you believe me if I told you this started off as a fanart for Avatar? I was sketching Aang and then didn't really dig it so I just started messing around. It was sorta late when I started so that may explain the subject matter.

There was a book i was read too when i was like 5 about a snow man that came alive, no it was not frosty, this art reminds me of it . Really nice and quite comforting.

Dude, this is amazing, seriously one of my favorite deviations ever, by anyone. Great scene, and a really great story, you should write it and do a children's book, or even just a full concept/sketchbook about it, would be awesome.
