Description The Ocean Goddess Quara was the first to give life back to the planet after the desolation of the War of Orina'Ve. She created six species that would be known as the "Maej'Nse," those born into the world before life on land came to be. Her second children were the Aralune. Beneath the Aria Sea lies their kingdom of the same name. It was the intention of their creator that life in the oceans belonged to and was controlled solely by her. For this reason each tribe of the Maeji'Nse would take up the task of nurturing the younger ones. Under the guidance of their brothers, the Tameidrin , they learned religion, government, economics, and art. They took great interest in music especially, and are renowned for their entrancing melodies.

As with many children of Quara, their main source of surface influence comes through trade. Their wears are exquisitely crafted, perhaps the finest of all the sea kingdoms. Their musical instruments, some of the finest in Erandur, create a high demand. Other popular items are made of shell, pearl and coral. As the only aquatic race to wear full armor, even their smiths are known in the surface-world. Their armor can be easily identified by the emblem representing the animal associated with each Fayth engraved on the breastplate. Their weapons are made of coral and pearl.

However, despite their long history, presence in the trade market, and maps of the world, the exact location of their settlements is speculation only. Legend tells of an Esper, Jheru, who created the Torrent Rune. The rune is passed down through the royal family. It is used to control the currents of the sea, enabling them to manipulate the waves in order erase any path to their settlements. The current patterns are thought to be changed in-sync with the moon, but little else is known about the process. This began as a way to protect themselves from surface dwellers. Many possess varying degrees of distrust for them and despite the high demand for their instruments and crafts, do not partake in trade with them.

The Aralune are also half-man and half-fish, but have tails rather than legs. They are quite long, giving them a length ranging from 9'10 to 10'6 feet tall. Their skin, a soft sandy tone, is perhaps the smoothest and softest of all aquatic races, a deep contrast to their powerful tails. Therefore, they are the only aquatic race to wear full armor. Their scales range in a variety of colors from deep purples, blues, and greens, to warm reds and even golds. Aralune scales are an extremely rare and expensive item on the black trade market. The intricate practice of harvesting those of a deceased well enough to be useful, remains unknown outside their tribe. Their scales serve as their natural armor, and for them to be violated in such a manner is considered shameful. Once hunted for their scales, much of their distrust of those in the overworld, stems from this practice.

I like the clothing and armor that you put on. Although I think the tails near the end look a bit too skinny, but other than that, it's a pretty good job.

Hey! Thanks for coming by again, yeah, we won't talk about their tails, they aren't rendered correctly to show how they are bending, but oh well. Gotta learn from those mistakes!
