This one didn't receive a critique, so here I go!

First off, the stuff in your head is so fun and quirky. The designs of the characters and scenes in your gallery were great to browse through because of the creativity behind them. There are a lot of INCREDIBLE artists, technical skill wise, on dA --- but it's nice to see some imagination and not just "prettyness" every now and again.

Anyway.. on to the critique!

As for the design itself, I like it! The hind legs might make movement a little awkward because they're smaller than the front (I would do the reverse for future dragons).

With the coloring, I'd be a bit more bold with your light and shadows (but this is an olllld deviation, and I noticed you've improved a LOT since 2009 ). But especially where there are folds/creases in clothing or skin, that extra attention to shadow can really make or break a picture.

Finally, since you do a lot of colored pencil work, have you ever tried using mineral spirits ([link] )? If your pencils are softer/waxier, you can use the mineral spirits to blend layered colors. It's cheap, too (about 6-8 dollars for the one I linked you to).
