I can't help but picture molten freddy tipping his hat at someone saying "M'lady."

In fact, this pose is just as intentioned as you thought.
He's taking his hat off to the spectators, who want to buy admission tickets, or he just greets them at the circus.
But the gesture is rather ironic (which you can see in the title), according to the motto: "Can I do something for you.... before I'm gonna KILL YOU!!"

Most likely, the original actually has no legs.
Because my design would have looked very misshapen (big chest with muscular arms need a matching lower body), if I used a snake tail like you did, I chose two legs.
At Molten Freddy, people can do whatever they want anyway - after all, no one knows exactly how his lower half looks like. We don't even know if he has any arms at all, let alone legs.
