A completed version of the concept below.This outfit is pretty much the same as her official with some minor changes. I like her official design too much.

The changes you made are, like you said, pretty minor. If I didn't know it was a redesign, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. Though I do think the changes you made are for the better. They are subtle, but good.
The paper-like texture and the way you colour your art reminds me a lot of Wind Waker's artwork. It's interesting. While you use some elements from Wind Waker's artwork, you don't really copy it's art style. Your doing your own thing, which I can appreciate a lot.
I also find it funny that you called this drawing "Queen Hilda". This is because I discovered a while ago that in the German version of A Link Between Worlds, Hilda is actually called a queen and not a princess. Is it coincidence or did you know about the German translation? Β

Yeah, the Wind Waker art style is my favorite Zelda art style, so I like to put a bit of it into my drawings.

The German translators probably wanted to make Hilda a little bit more different from Zelda, by making Hilda the "KΓΆnigin von Lorule" (Queen of Lorule). It's only a small change, but it's an interesting one. It also changes how Zelda and Hilda communicate at the end of the game. Because Hilda technically outranks Zelda, Zelda uses terms that show respect or superiority towards Hilda (even after all the things she has done), in contrast to the English version in which Zelda talks to Hilda more as an equal. At least, that is from what I understood from the German version (it's not my native language).Β By the way, why did you call Hilda a queen on this picture? Is it because of the redesign?

I called her a queen because it's part of a personal fan thing I'm working on. The redesign is a part of that.
