Thank you so much! I think the reason I love it so much is that it's simple and for some reason I feel it sums me up. I really appreciate what you've said and it has totally made my day~

I spent a long time on my color choices actually. When I don't my color schemes are hectic!! Most of my drawings, honestly, are simple. Mainly because the poses are usually simple. I still struggle with forshortening. I continue to challenge myself though. The same goes for me with music. I love pretty much any color but I really like lime green so that's why I tried to make it a central color in this one. (The colored pencil is called Apple green but still).

Personally I love "simple" artwork, yet that word itself can be applied towards many aspects of things so that's a tough thing for me to say haha.. but just in that even in my own artwork I've always seemed to prefer simple compositions that strictly either highlight one aspect of a thing/subject or just in a sense of almost one message or conviction, even if it's for most of my pixel fan art haha. Idk, there is much beauty in simple artworks for an incredible amount of reasons I feel. We really could go on talking about the subject lol.
It's great you give yourself a moment to think through the color choices and scheme for your art, I noticed the other week when trying to color in an abstract drawing without spending much time at all on thinking of how the colors were going to effect the piece or the eye; ended up actually pretty much ruining it cause the colors mashed terribly and had no dimension really afterwards. This artwork of yours though definitely has a great sense of color choice and appears you thought them out well.
All I can say though is to keep working at growing in yourself and your artworks by doing what your doing! I think it's best to stick with simple postures/poses when working on perfecting your skill, but as you said, keep challenging and never limit yourself by saying you cannot! It seems the secret to art, is to never ever EVER approach it with fear. Release all sense and ideas of such a thing even ever existing, and create your work through positive energy and zero doubt within yourself and ability. Sure, it takes real practice to go all out in some incredibly professional looking art pieces, but not a single one of those amazing people would've ever got to that point if they ever doubted themself and stopped trying and working at it!

I love the simplicity of your pixel work as well as your models. I'm not sure that I could do it and say it's simple. Likely because simplicity is relative. That's a very good point that highlighting on aspect of a peace can be very powerful. It's something in my head I know but need to put into practice.
Thank you very much. Gosh, I had one piece I did probably about 5 years ago that ended up looking like I had drawn some weird patriotic vampire with weird hair and an aweful taste in clothing haha. I have some friends who just seem to have a knack for it but it's something I have to continuesly work on. Now I get into the habit of making color scheme pages. (Which often are the drawings that I feel epic failed).
I think that some of the greatest artists often either hold themselves back by dissing themselves or becoming too full of themselves. They sometimes forget that constantly growing is the most important thing. Within just the last couple of years I've grown just from continuesly working and improving.

Yeah that is very true. I still have my old stuff up on here and I'm thinking of doing one of those draw this again meme's. It would probably be a good laugh but also a good comparison. I used to get so annoyed when people would say "Oh I am such a terrible artist and my work just sucks"!" I've actually had friends that tried to throw away. I actually have several things my friend tried to throw away. I've stopped being so judgemental of myself and I work. I will easily poinit out parts where I've messed up and laugh about it, but I'll just say "I'll work on that part and do better next time."

Haha yeah. I'm really excited to do one. When I have the free time for it at least. I've pretty much facepalmed through my face mentally to many times to even count.
