Description UPDATE: FINALLY FINISHED. SO MANY GODDAMN TEDIOUS LINES TO COLOR IN!!!

A work in progress of a series of fanart I'm working on that I've decided to call the Las Lindas Love Catches (LLLC for short, or Gar Lindas, whatever you prefer). This one is probably the most involved in terms of character amount. This is Alejandra and her thugs from Las Lindas.

I think I'm starting to get the hang of the GL Eyecatch style of shading. Still have kinks to work out, but by the time I got the Ryoma Nagare expy (thug on the far left) I think I finally got how the shading works with the figures.

Color will be added in due time, but there's some work to be done at the moment.

Alejandra, Goons (C) *chalosan

Is it me or does the guy with the shades looks like one of the dreadnocks from G.I. Joe

Still think those guys got off WAYYYY too easy for trying to rape Mora.

Don't let her down--Bruce!
Does the elf guy even have a name?

Hell, I don't even know!

Even the dude on the far left only showed up like once in the whole comic, at the beginning!

Was he the kid who called Mora a monster despite the fact that he was standing right next to another Prime?
--I'll ask Chalo.

I don't even remember seeing Mora being called a monster. A feisty one, maybe. The spikey haired dude is the one who Mora decked before they tried raping her.

She hits him with the base of her palm wut?
I was thinkin' too far back, to, like, episode 4. I was backtracking lately for some reference pictures that weren't suspiciously part p0rn0gr@ph!c. I skipped the scene where the bovines met. She's called a monster by some kid with a buzz cut...not part o' the gang, though.

Hmm, buzz cut? I don't recall that at all. Strange.

It's the least important character in the story. He and a cat throw rocks at her mailbox.
Incidentally...take a look at Empire Strikes Back: [link]
The chimney, what does it remind you of?

Oh right, the dumb establishing thing about everyone hating her or whatever even though the entire country is Prime-centric. Wow, completely missed that one.

I don't know what the chimney reminds me of. I was expecting to see a chimney like in Wily's Castle in Mega Man. So what should it remind me of?

At least in that particular picture, it's a warp pipe from Mario! (just brown instead of green)
Next question: what does this [link] remind you of?

Zeikier In reply to ReyJJJ [2011-12-22 19:52:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh shit, right. Mario. Can't believe I missed that, too simple for me to notice I guess.

Now that....reminds me of an RPG Maker sprite in the form of Minos?

Took me a couple tries too! I saved the picture to reference for the house, and it dawned on me.

"Reminds" implies somebody did it before me. Am I really so late to jump on the wagon?

Well how about that.

I'm not sure. You asked what it reminded me of, so I said so. I haven't seen a Minos sprite yet, so who knows?

Indeed, I should not impose the task of personal investigation upon any other user.
But I tell you what--it is an RPG Minos, and unless I feel like something else, Mora follows today.

It wasn't a problem, I knew more or less where to look.

Is it part of that game you're planning, or is it a separate project? Can't wait to see Mora.

ReyJJJ In reply to Zeikier [2011-12-23 03:12:00 +0000 UTC]

Where to look for sprites of Minos?

And--it's time I level with ya. I'm what you guys call a User--wait wrong line.
Yeah, my big underground project--and it's not big at all yet--The Knight of T, is akin to a Kingdom Hearts that hits up different spots. Las Lindas remains intact, but most of the crossoverness occurs in a sub-universe. [link] Some portals will take you to KH-styled worlds (can somebody say Ponyville?), but Las Lindas is accessed through the Tron-ified Internet.
And those damn Vocaloids--!

Zeikier In reply to ReyJJJ [2011-12-23 07:24:00 +0000 UTC]

Oh.....well, I never look up custom sprites. I thought you meant looking into those pipes and the obligatory throwaway racist characters.

Interesting. Dunno why LL has to be through the internet, but okay then. I guess I'll have to see what happens or something. Is it just gonna be some OCs wandering around running into whoever?

ReyJJJ In reply to Zeikier [2011-12-23 07:34:08 +0000 UTC]

Don't mind me then!
...
It's a webcomic originally, hence brought forth from the Internet.
As for the OCs thing, my current plan is for a majority of...UOCs? (Unoriginal characters.) There were 2 OCs, 2 almost-junk characters, and 12 or so quasi-OCs, plus any more quasis I come up with. Actually, there's plenty of room for improvement; I just haven't thought of it yet. I get too excited with the cool and the cameo, and before I can think, bam! Time for school.

Zeikier In reply to ReyJJJ [2011-12-23 08:20:42 +0000 UTC]

In that case you might want to get concrete details down and maybe make some of it instead of just fawning over it. I've ran into that problem a lot, and being excited doesn't get anything done. Even if it's shitty, a draft is a draft; it's something on paper and in form.

Very true. I need discipline; my project is already 5, 6, 7 years behind schedule!
People wonder why I don't want to play games (as often) anymore--well I'm tryin' ta make one, so yeah.

Zeikier In reply to ReyJJJ [2011-12-24 07:24:00 +0000 UTC]

It happens. I've either dropped projects or built on them as time goes on. Lately I've just been trying to keep up with smaller projects and school. I at least know I'm building on my ideas to better my bigger stories later on.

That and playing some games that I need to. Luckily that's gone decently.

Ahh good solid inking. Heavy inking is a pain in the dickhole, ain't it?

Truly, especially when one of the characters is made primarily of black and white. Otherwise, I'm starting to get the hang of it, or at least I could say that if I had enough time to actually do something with my free time.

Nice job, dude! I normally don't have time to go through all my deviations, but this one really stood out in my inbox. : D Very eye-catching.

Thanks. Considering they're inspired by a series of things called eye catches, I'm glad to see it was successful in that purpose. Hopefully the color version does so as well....
