Hi! Just passing by wanting to give you a critique!
To start off, my favorite one is the third style! I love the colour variation and to me it looks the most interesting out of all three!
For the vision I gave you 4 stars! The styles are all pretty nice to look at and the colors are very nice, too! But I feel like the first one needs a bit more thought put into it! Compared to the other two styles it just doesn't match up! In my opinion it
needs a bit more depth and it needs something that makes it pop! The second style
does this much better in my opinion. Especially the hair makes this piece look very interesting, I like the sort of geometric shading on the hair and the cyan highlights make it stand out! The third one is very nice and soft. The different colors make for a very soothing atmosphere and it makes this piece look more calm.
For the originality I gave you 3 1/2 stars, because style one definitely needs more work! You want your style to be unique, and the first one just doesn't take the cake for me. The second one is the most original out of them all! The choice of colors is really neat! But although I see that you put all your work of detail into the hair, the skin is kept simple. Nothing wrong with that, but I'd advise you to distribute the level of detail a bit more evenly. The third style is very nice on the colors! The shading with the blue is very nice!
Technique: the technique is very nice on all of them! The skin on style one is my favorite, it has an appropriate level of detail, but maybe try and add more shading! Same goes for the hair here! I'd even go further and add some highlights! Style two may need some work on the shading of the skin, although I can see that you wanted to match the style of the hair here! In my opinion flat out cel-shading would've been a better option, but you do what's best for you! Maybe try and add some variety on the colour said of the skin!
Style three is very nice in both hair and skin, although the shoulder region would need some more work! The blue shading on the hair is very unique, but is a bit
overwhelming. Toning it down or make it less saturated would help here!
All three styles are well done on the anatomy, although I like the anatomy on style
one the best!
I gave you 4 stars for the impact!
The best impact on me had probably style three, because it suggests the atmosphere the character is in. This is suggested by the yellowish highlight on the hair. Both style two and one can't compare to style three here in my opinion! However, style one has a very neutral and simple atmosphere and style two has a very energetic one!
I hope I could display all the pros and cons each style has, while I tried to not be too biased on this critique, I discovered while reading through the critique the second time that many aspects I mentioned here were heavily based off of my opinion, but that's something you can't avoid! I'd really love to hear the opinions of others about these styles!
