I'd mentioned to someone a while back that I'd done a "Zombie Boy" (model Rick Genest) portrait a while back, figured I'd upload it for kicks and giggles.Needless to say his appearance was an inspiration for my Star Wars OC Overkill, so I gave him a very Overkill expression in this pic...
Adobe Illustrator, 15+ hours (those tattoos man...such respect for the tattoo artist as well as the model)

Thank you so much! I got to where I am because of relentless, relentless practice and observation, and a TON of failures and crappy sketches. If you focus on the kind of art you wish to make and work diligently at it you'll get there. Be optimistic but don't just wish for improvement. Set short term and long term goals and work to achieve them. Again, glad you like!

Thank you for the update, vod Just sent them a cease and desist email. Hopefully they'll take it down. Makes me sad more than angry, really. They really butchered editing out my watermark (that's another reason I only post fanart here, lots of art thieves browse this site).
I mean seriously, if you're going to be a money-grubbing leech with no sense of honor at least try to make your scam convincing.
May their poor-quality jpegs dissatisfy their customers and may they find legos in their shoes.

I wish! But no, he's already got one that suits him well enough.
Besides, for the sake of all the comic panels he's drawn in and will be drawn in I wanted to keep it simple so I can recreate it accurately each time. (and it's not like the GAR pays to have their clones sit around and get awesome full-body tattoos when they could be off protecting the Chancellor's interests and whatnot)

Never been a huge fan of tattoos but what I've always loved about his tattoos is that it really is just like one entire tattoo. He's like a living, breathing, walking art piece and this is an excellent portrait of him.

Reminds me of that guy that did that skin cream ad, where he was completely tattooed and the cream made it look like he had normal human skin. Very nice portrait indeed! Nice work!
