Quirk:

Boneless - Cassidy possesses the ability to soften up his bones at will to a gummy-like consistency. This can apply to one or multiple bones at once, peaking at the entire skeleton. However, the more bones and time are involved, the more he has to put his focus into upholding the quirk.

Limitations:

-When re-solidifying the bones, they can only return to their original form.

-Overusing his abilities gives Cassidy bone ache. If it goes on long enough it may become unbearable to the point of limiting his ability to function at all.

-Upon using his quirk in large quantities of time and/or frequency, his bones also become more brittle and susceptible to breaking in their normal state if he doesn't take proper care of them.

-The quirk only applies to himself. He can't affect anyone around him, even with touch contact.

-Solidifying is not instant- it takes effort and a short (but often vital) amount of time to return his body to its original state, depending on the amount of activity Cassidy is in.

-The quirk only affects his bones. His organs, muscles and skin still retain their original consistency, thus he cannot do things like stretch his body like a rubber band.

Personality:

Cassidy has a streak for the skeptical. He's mellowed out from his childhood years, but still tends to carry an initial air of doubt, being slow to open up to new people. This doesn't make him rude, however, he simply works on a "I can work with them, but it doesn't mean I'm their friend" line of thought.

Once you get to know him, however, he retains a neutral view on most matters. Rarely expressing extreme emotion to one direction or another, he's willing to listen to opinions and reasonings even when things get heated. Eager to learn and master new things, if your interests and/or views happen to overlap with his, there's a good chance he'll start seeking your presence over others'.. After the eventual buffer period. Still, he enjoys solitary activities and small groups over big crowds, and is fine just sitting around doing his own thing.

Cassidy holds the term "friend" in high regard, so there are very few whom he actually considers as such. Don't be offended over this- it's simply his nature to consider most people as acquaintances. Friends, those are something a bit more special.

History:

Upon the discovery of his quirk, Cassidy resented it. Losing the consistency of his bones at random made his childhood days unpredictable at best, and impossible at most, many activities needing supervision or assistance from someone else. This continued well into his school years, and it bred frustration and negativity in his mind. Quirks were supposed to be beneficial-- Why was his only making his life harder?

From a young age, he wanted to follow his fathers footsteps to becoming a hero.. However, the difficult relationship he had with his quirk was looming over that career path. Even with his good grades, it just wasn't possible for someone who couldn't control their quirk, rather, it controlled them, to safely engage in hero education. His family encouraged him to try other things, perhaps find something else to pursue for a career, but he wasn't going to give up that easily.

Fresh out of graduating from high school, he begged his father to let him work at his agency and help around with menial tasks. With no education or license, he couldn't participate in patrols or missions.. but along with running errands for the office, observing and training alongside the interns was another thing. It was the most painstaking few years of his life, but eventually things started settling in place. With fewer accidents and more control came more confidence, and more promise. Finally, his father gave him the verdict. Manage to pass the entrance exam to Schuyler University, and he'd be free to attend and continue pursuing his dream.

Extras:

-His diet is very rich in calcium to make up for the strain his quirk has on his bones
-Being as his quirk has little offensive value, Cassidy tends to try and stay evasive, or to restrain his foe in fighting situations.
