Love this painting! Dinner at Emmaus is my favorite image of Jesus in Western art.
I am awed by your control and attention to detail.

Question, when you "study" from an artist but redoing a painting of his, what do you look for? What do you think while you do it?

Lovely piece.

Whenever I look at the original, my eye's always drawn to the right hand of the guy on the right - it's grotesquely oversize.

In yours the size seemed more toned down and it fades into the darkness - did it cause you any difficulty, whether to correct it, or be true to the original?

thanks, i think that guy's right hand in original looks not good for me, haha, so i'd like to fade into the dark.it will get more depth.

I'm so impressed that you're reproducing master paintings in Photoshop, it makes me wonder why I've never seen others do it.

Really beautiful capture of the piece. I like that you let your mark making be loose in some spots.

Perhaps I should attempt it myself. been a long time since I've done any traditional media or otherwise.

that's ok, traditional media is cool than digital, digital just save time.i like paper works for sure.

I like traditional too, but not having the space for the mess or money for the materials makes digital something I'm trying to get better at. I know where you're coming from.
