Description Featuring Valen, Vaelerian and Huron
Spring, Year 770 of the New Age
Royal Glades, Glenmore

Valen/Vaelerian:

Valen had been introducing Vaelerian to his siblings, one by one. The colt was very sickly and fragile, so Valen didn't want to overwhelm him by having him meet three other fawns at the same time. Yvar had already snuck in a meeting, and Valen had introduced him to Cinnamon already. That just left Huron. Valen couldn't help but be nervous, even if there was no reason to be. Huron was a sweet colt, but Vaelerian was just so fragile… Valen forced these thoughts away as he led the wobbly fawn towards Zai and Huron’s den. Zai spotted him now and took her leave, thanking him for giving her a little break. Huron was inside.

Valen walked into the den, Vaelerian close by his side, and blinked against the slight darkness until his eyes finally adjusted. “Good morning, Huron.” He greeted his son as he spotted the red colt. Of course Huron was a newborn and unable to talk, but the little one should be able to hear the cheer in his father's voice. Vael pressed himself against Valen’s legs for support, ears pricking forwards with curiosity.

Huron:

It took the young fawn a moment or so realize someone had spoken to him, having been snoozing in the corner, having woken up when his mother’s warmth had shifted away, drowsy, but not having the energy to get up and follow just yet.

His head did snap around however once he realized that yes, someone  was talking to him, and that someone was his father, filled the little colt with excitement as he tried to stand up on wobbly legs, having been practing on his own a little, and with the help of his mother. Already little flowers and blades of grass had sprouted from the earth where he had laid, having absolutely no control over his power, or even remotely understanding what it was or why he had it. He tottered over slowly, letting out a soft bleat as he looked up at the towering figure of his sire.

As he grew closer though, he paused and half looked down, noticing a new smell on him and frowning a tiny bit, leaning around his forleg a bit as he finally spotted Vael, his own ears perking forwards and his bleats silencing in surprise at the presence of another fawn, having not gotten around to meeting all his brothers and sisters yet either

Valen/Vaelerian

A warm smile spread onto Valen’s face as he watched his son scramble to his feet with very little grace. The colt was still very young; Valen had confidence that he would grow more coordinated with time. His heart melted a bit as the colt bleated a greeting. It was then that Huron noticed his brother. Valen watched cautiously as the red colt’s ears pricked forwards and he fell silent. What was his son thinking? As he happy to meet another sibling? Valen wasn't sure.

“This is Vaelerian. We call him Vael.” Valen introduced the tiny colt, hoping Huron would understand the name. “Vael, this is Huron.” Valen motioned towards Huron with his head. Vaelerian’s eyes were bright, despite the wheeze in his breath, and he seemed happy to be meeting another brother. Letting out an airy bleat, he left his father’s side to go to Huron, lifting his tiny muzzle upwards towards his brother’s.

Huron:

Huron squeaked a bit, jolting back a tiny bit in surprise as he came over, but it barely took any time at all for him to settle down. He flopped his ears a little bit and curled his tail, before he moved to sniff gently at his brothers muzzle, wobbling a little closer and trying to obviously be a little over gentle with his movements. A little patch of grass started to sprout out the ground by his hooves, his excitement magnifying his magic

Valen/Vaelerian

A breathy giggle slipped from Vaelerian’s lips as be returned his brother’s gentle nuzzles. He breathed in the other colt’s scent, storing it in his memory. He'd always remember it as belonging to Huron! Then, all of a sudden, grass began to grow taller around the two colts. Valen’s ears pricked, a smile spreading across his face, and he wondered which of the colts were doing it. He was so proud of their magical abilities already. Vael’s brown eyes widened as he saw the grass growing. Oh, his brother could do that too!? Giggling like mad, the colt added his own magic to the mix, causing dandelions to begin to sprout from the earth around them.

Huron:

Huron didn’t seem to notice at first, too interested in his brother’s new smells, and how different he looked to himself, moving to mouth gently at his ear, tugging it gently, playful. But as he moved, and his ankle brushed against one of the bright flowers, he let out a tiny squeak and looked down. He grinned a little bit and flicked his ears again, leaning down to pluck one up, and softly move to try and tuck it behind his brother’s ear, letting out a small, happy bleat.

His brother could do this sort of stuff too? This was the best news he could have gotten today, besides finding out he had a brother. He looked up to his father after a moment, swishing his tail, managing to stand upright and still for the first time in a while, usually at least wobbling a little bit

Valen/Vaelerian

Vaelerian let out a little squeak of delight when the larger colt tugged at one of his ears. Valen grimaced slightly, a bit concerned, but noted that Huron was being gentle. He seemed to pick up on the fact that his brother was fragile. The red stag felt his heart melt when Huron tucked a flower behind Vael’s ear. Vael giggled in response, quickly shaking his head and freeing the flower from his person. That had felt weird! He stepped forwards, giving Huron a tiny headbutt on the chest, playfulness twinkling in his eyes.

Huron:

His attention dropped immediately back down to Vaelerian as he headbutted him, and let out a giggled little snort, shuffling to the side a bit, before moving to gently butt his shoulder back, his own eyes glittering, tiny, fluffy mane sticking up in every which way from where it was still growing in, thick and red, just like Valens. More flowers, blue in colour and tiny, followed his tiny hoofsteps across the den floor

Valen/Vaelerian

It seemed that the little headbutt that Vael had given the other colt had worn him out. The brown colt suddenly let out a little huff, sitting down on his hindquarters quickly. His energy was already spent, and he’d not really even got started with his walk yet. Valen frowned deeply, concerned at seeing the youngster so tired already. Vael didn’t miss a beat other than sitting down though, giggling merrily as Huron continued to prance around him, flowers springing up around them like crazy. Valen chuckled softly. The glade was going to be overflowing before long.

Huron:

Huron let out another small bleat, before he giggled and moved to sit down next to him, moving to softly try and groom his neck and ear, seeming pretty comfortable and happy with his new brother.

This was the start of a deep bond between family, that would last generations, it seemed.
